So this swedish guy got into court for having alot mp3's and hanging out on a p2p network.
He got busted and had to pay a fine around 2500 euros for sharing 3 tracks.

(imagine how many originals he would get for this money)

by people working for copyrightorganisations.
They just check what you share, take a screenshot.. download something copyrighted.
checking your ip, get your homeadress. and BANG.. youre busted.

this might be the first in sweden (about music) but def. not the last.

anyways, there are so many traders out there so i guess its impossible to bust all of them but still... i would rather buy cd's for 2500 euros than giving them away for mp3's

Absolute nothing. We have far more serious issues.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

my country isnt doing anything about people dying off hunger on the streets, al quida terrorists bombing its cities, and global 'warming' thats making me inhale oxygen spiked with a high dose of sulphur dioxide.. you think its gonna do anything about trading in mp3?

Nothing is said that has not been said before.

You call them "traders" - how do they make money? Only if they made money off it would it be illegal, right?

I'm totally for buying music legally - for quality sake, and i do beleive in supporting the artist in the music industry!!

Just like the movie industry ... they rely more on money made from cinema goers, rather than DVDs and the other media!!

Similarly, i think the artists rely more on playing gigs for the major chunk of their income!!

It's just that i think complete eradication of the menace of piracy seems somewhat of a dream which i don't think will really come true!

Sorry, but i just speak factually - no offence meant whatsoever!!

well traders, they trade music.. not money...
in sweden all trading/sharing copyrighted music or movies is illegal.

So this guy in sweden got busted, went to court and got a €2500 fine for sharing 3 tracks.. its just a fact, atleast in sweden.
