So whats next ? Ban all blank cds from the markets ?!

no but there will be higher tax on them, so this will affect everybody. not only the people who are burning music but also thoose who use cdr to make backups of files like photos, documents and other projects.
This will also affect blank dvd discs.

Well ther is an old phrase said .. "Dont ask what your country can do for you , Ask what you can do for your country" .

Mm .. In my case its inverse

. Im here in my studio all the day (And many hours) making my own music so some time that point is realy bother me when i see so many fake Cd's all over , Heard ther are even an rusian site that sale connected demos (Thats mean few demos together into 1 track) Or whats happen to 'Fanatic' when some 1 took his name + the name of the track and put it on other 1 when the music its not even relevant (Not his) , Bad quality , Not the same , He never heard that tunes , Know or listen to , And all under his name . Heard also http://www.yousendit.com start playing games take demos .. Maybe 1 day they want release an universal Cd .

I read in the net that 2 weekes ago the government (Or the office that administ of the all thing) was destroy 20.000 forgery Cd's in the 'tachana Merkazit' in Tell Aviv , And i got at this moment an great inside feeling of an little revenge (Must say) .

If u want quality and good music buy ! (Like in everything in life - What the difference ?) Or made .. - Your own touns , Music and sounds .

Can feel and understand denis words in here and not only because that this his work (Dont know him personal) Just think that all the net are full with garbage , All are taking all and mix it with everything . There is somthing better then the orginal ? , With an guarantee , Coming from acknowledged place and company . What so bad with this kind ? Labels is doing the best effort for you belive me they are , Do somthing with ! . Why always is the nature of the human being is by walking around in circles ? . Hope seeing a better world and soon .

First i'd like to say that this post really does add to something....
It was quite a coincidence, 'cause in the beginning of this week the brazilian PF (Federal Police) started a massive action on copyrights illegal selling/sharing.

Unfortunately the purchase of illegal movies and cds is very spread out in Brazil, a factor that contributes to this happening is the high prices of these given the income of the general nacional population.

This PF's action has probably already affected millions of brazilian internet users since several of google's online communities, orkut, dedicated to mp3 and even wav music sharing and downloading have been shut down. Also several websites that provided downloads, p2p links, or some sort of trading facilitations have been closed as well.

IMO the purchase of original CDs is obviously the best choice, afterall u r gonna have ur sound of choice in full-quality, the way it was intended to be, and also support the labels/artists and music u like the most, but for those who can't afford to it will be an unfortunate fact not even beeing able to settle for second best...

in belgium it's not allowed to give an IP adress in court,
so you're bassicly free, even if they know who you are,
still an IP adress changes a lot,
only you're providers knows if you had that IP adress at that moment cause it's dyanamic,

I have 4 belgian IP adresses,
they can better proof by your netwerkcardnumber,

still if one provider in belgium ever gives an IP adress free in court he's broke, everybody will go to other providers,
as long if there isn't a general law for all providers it won't happen,

then again the european law against internetpiracy already exist what is indeed a general law but it's not approved that,

so downloading won't a neverendingstory...

then again,
if you just download, with one specifiek netwerkcard, on one specifiek IP adress, it's hard for them to catch,
then again will people do the effort to download ???
at the other hand, only one has to download and there are lot of ways to spread,
upload it on private webspace, public webspace in zip files, ftp,

Natures finds it's way, humans find their way, that's what made us until this day and created who we are (is that a positive thing or negative !)

I have always seen downloading as an anti kapitalistic reaction of humans who had it with multinations, musicindustry just ripping off big time, selling on high prices...
It's a bit their own fault,
off course the opposite (downloading and not paying) is not good either,

grey is the solution,
but I don't see direct a gathering between the music industry and downloaders,

theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen,

I think considering goa we will be the last on earth to be afraid off,
most of the hunters will check sites for pop music, rich artist, movies and stuff...

still should be nice if 'the grey zone' I was talking about good be entered in psytrance scéne,
internetshop should lower their prices and show that indeed lot of people would buy more original music,
psytrance has still some bourders, a distance to other music considering, selling, creation, shops,
not that much anymore, but it's possible,

to idealistic ?

BTW ... This fine of 2500 euros ..... how much of it is paid to the artist whose "traded" material is in question?

Are the artists represented in any way or present in court ?

Or is this all action taken by the state, of the state and for the state?
