I think we have lost the respect for us and for the scene . I have been in big, small and medium parties and well is not how it was some years ago , i know that, but come on people, how do we want to have a great scene if in every event we go the bathrooms are filled up of sht and the organizers dont change them in 4 days with 6500 persons living in there! and all the place smell like that and the trash everywhere, drugis everywhere thinking that they are in a death metal concert (and even in this places we have education) just no respect.

Also the music we consume is the worst, so please "trancers" think twice before plannin to go and spend 5000 pesos for an astrix or yahel party not to mention gms or infected,,, yeah!! they were cool and everything but that is over. lets do something about it, lets just NOT GO to mainstream parties lets be as we were 5 or 6 years ago when we were like:" oh ! do you know that Gms is comming!!" but with the new artists lets push them to our stages and rebuild what we biuld with our decitions because that's what will change everything.

So if the organizers could think less in the money or better to think in do something good for the scene they should start to respect themselves or even try to live in the place they organize to experience how do we (the people who care) feel about it.

And just to finish i have made a very simple rule for a bad party:
(Even aplies for the best organization)

bad music = people angry = trash, bad trips, etc... = i have no clue what i am doing here and who i am .

good music = happy people = no trash, excellent trips, etc... = i have found my selve in peace love unity and respect .

This pretty much says it all

@Serag: i disagree with ur causes of this... dont blame the music, i think music is what have hold the scene "unite". u can call it good or bad, its your taste

I truly belive the reason of the mexican psytrance scene has became the shit that is in the present days is because mexican people like the cheap things, cheap most of all in terms of quality, this plus the limbo in which people are with the HIGH abuse of toxic substances has become in a circle. how can u complain to the organizers if u can barely speak because u r too high?

well too much complains and no solutions.. i give you here one action to start giving some respect to the mexican trance scene

stop the MASSIVE importing of "artists" and fake "live" acts and promote more national talent this has becoming in something to be ashamed of... ok, if i as party promoter will bring X artists from russia for example and will write in ur flyer LIVE ACT and will pay you LIVE ACT fee...man, they MUST play LIVE as much as they can without compromising audio quality. if the artists asks u a lot of gear (which is generally very expensive to rent) make sure they will fully use. asking for 3 synths and play 2 chords on them is not live act.

ok many people will tell you the very lame "hey i made the music"... So what? ure paying the artist for a live presentation thats the reason beacuse live act and dj set are charged at completely different rates, no?

As party promoter u are making big efford to bring the artists to mexico form very very far. its fair they do se same amount of efford or maybe more to give their audience a good show, thats why theyre pros (the REAL ones)

Same goes for djs... ask for demos no matter how big is their name, sometimes happen that big names are not so big djs, real professional djs will gladly make u one or have one avaliable for download in their websites

cheers

Hey people, I am coming to study in Mexico for one year (6 months in Mazatlan and 6 months in Guadalajara) but I will be in the DF for 2-3 weeks before heading to Mazatlan to start school. I really wanna check out some of the psy clubs/outdoor parties in Mexico City but the scene where I am from (Melbourne, Australia) is really relaxed etc and not dangerous at all. Could anyone tell me of any good sources of info about nice, safe and friendly parties in the area? My friends should have a car so I will be able to drive to the outdoor parties, but I dont wanna go if it's gonna be dangerous or shut down by the police as soon as we get there or whatever, you know? Also any party info/other good forums for Mazatlan or Guadalajara would be great too!

Also, I heard about a psy club called 'el colmillo' but judging by the source i figured it might be a bit mainstream... Is it any good?

Thanks heaps!;)

EDIT: Oh yeah, btw i'll be in the DF from about the 15th of July to the 2nd of August then i'm off to sunny Mazatlan!

I agree with Titro and and Serag...
Here in Canada its the same problem... scene started out really underground, cool parties organised by spiritual people out in nature, w good food (no fast food crap...), original artwork, and local djs... NATURA parties (I am related to the organizers) was the best for that.. so cool... But now its just commercial, and everyone is trying to get BIG NAMES instead of GOOD VIBES...
Better to do intention work and set a good vibe than concentrate only on big names that drain all the $...
