Mexican scene is in a weird point right now, a lot of people doing music i wont say anything about the dj's cause there are like a thousand differnte dj's here , with the internet access and dc++ and emule everyone now can be a DJ , but in music terms there are a lot of people doing some nice things , about the parties hhmm is strange cause 6 months ago i could tell u the party sucks a lof people and a lot of fashion kids that only want to get really high, but now i think is going more underground, i can tell u all cause i been away from big parties for about 6 months , the small parties are the best right know, the big ones have some serious line up but , with bad promotors, bad security, bad sound, and the decoo oh my god?!!! what happend?? this dudes thinks that if they put some yellow strings and a white blanquet behind it will be super psychedelic, but noo it isnt is just lame..... i hope that in the next months people stop going to this big parties and concentrate on take this scene to a more serious level not only to go and get high, but go and really have a change of mind......we just will need to wait and see and start making some change around the people who care and that we know they like this..so we can still save this beautiful thing that is psychedelic party's , this change my life y dont gonna loss it because some kids wanna be cool FUCK THAT!!.......           If u are Something, Dont ask for nothing

Mexico is a magical place and captured my heart 25 years ago. I love the people, the culture, the music and the food. While living in PV and GDL several years ago, I found a wonderful psy trance scene - both in the clubs as well as in the open. Truly a great crowd.

Unfortunately, several groups of promoters came into the scene in recent years and have abused it. They promoted huge acts without confirming them. They convinced many acts (especially international ones) that they would get paid on the spot and then decided they didn't have enough to pay with. They raided and undermined other promoters' parties and even threatened competing promoters with violent acts. (I know all of this first hand). I won't name names but anyone can log onto ProyectoGDL.com and read all about these promoters.

Unfortunately for the vast majority of Mexican organizers and promoters, these few individuals have seriously damaged the reputation of the scene in Mexico. I know many European acts that simply won't go to Mexico anymore - because they got stiffed.

I do hope that the scene flourishes again in Mexico because it really is full of some pretty cool peeps!

Mexicos scene is one of the bigest scenes in the wolrd it just needs to get reorganized, we need to make sure every artist, and party ppl that comes here goes back home happy, we need to work together, we have the scene, we have the ppl , we have the parties going on, trance scene is a worldwide family we cant fuck up each other if we are family, if you are not family here, ur not really in the trance scene we just need to work it in a proper way and we are working on geting it that way, its gonna happen couse its posible, mexico is the land where really everything is posible and that scares some ppl, we just need to not fuck up other ppl with that crazyness and freedom we have here.

I personally think this city is so big and crazy that for sure in any scene you are going to see the city problems reflected, the pollution, the lack of money, corruption (ppl paying the security guards to get in, instead of buying their tickets), etc..., unless you go underground, but I think there's no way back, so what to do? I see beautiful and very very talented ppl working in our mexican scene, ppl requested world wide, musicians, promoters, decorators, sound enginers, vj's, dj's, but I dont see them working together, most of them are competing, Im sure if all this talents work together in building a decent, respectable scene, we will have it, and 1000 times better than decent, we will have a great one.
What we need to do is not support the promoters that use our love for music to become rich, promoters that doesnt respect us or the work of the artists, doesnt matter what kind of huge live act they are bringing if they dont even care to bring a decent WC or the basics: garbage cans or bags, please ppl stop supporting this kind of promoters, stop thinking the parties are for free, they cost money, is a hard work that deserves to be paid, stop with that "Im too cool actitude" and DANCE!!! please, dont destroy the place where the party is going on, a beautiful scene is in our hands. And good promoters and artists, work together and support each other.
But thats only my opinion.
Love and Respect!
