It's all about the bassline

in my book there is 3 full on genre

3D: with rotating killing mind blowing changing bassline.

Isra: Brain killing melodies that never stop with almost no bassline variation at all.

Other full on: stuff that doesnt fit in these 2 style and that i really dont dig...

Best example for that was the party i attended this weekend

4 H of penta followed by 4 H of CPU

4h of torturing string and random melodies followed by 4h of incredible deep bassline stomp rotationg my brain like a mixer...

thats my point of view           http://www.spannungsbogen.com

As far as I know every country got stunning beautiful girls - It's not a monopoly for Israel

And to help eachother can be a good thing but also a setback when you look at the uniqueness that so many full-on bands from Israel lack. Most sound like clones. But then again the Scando sound is also similar from band to band and so is the sound coming from Aussieland, South Africa, Ibiza ect.

At the end of the day it's a matter of that our small scene is flooded with people wanting to make the next "killar" hit. Fun yes But not always good for the evolution of the music.

Bands i forgot in my previous list of very creative Israeli bands: Psysex, Analog pussy, Boo-Reka (Hujaboy), Dark soho, Depths of Despair, Future Prophecy, LISH, The Misted Muppet, Molecular and Yotopia.

hehe., i dont understand noone mentioned this before so here i go:

Europe is WAY BIGGER than Israel.!!

so there SHOULD be much more difference in music comming from europe than israel,.

israeli just make a lot of music

but if you take europe as a whole then you can easily see that different styles can emerge in different parts., people are often inspired by stuff around them.,

just my 2 eurocents

greet.., s

Someone in some other topic stated that "it must be difficult in Israel to produce an album with a different vibe, because of the tremendous pressure from the local scene to produce “killer full-on”…". Guess this quote fits this topic as well.           www.ektoplazm.com/2011/panta-deus - download for free Psytrance.pl's 10th anniversary compilation featuring 100% Polish psy-music (goa, prog, dark, full-on, chillout): Artha, Sundial Aeon and many more

well, most of the unique & innovative comes from europe nowadays, artists have a larger range of styles, and better production most of the time. but even with all the artists europe has today, it is hard to match up to israeli masterpieces such as
sandman-witchcraft
and lets not forget...israel is a very small country, like6-7 million ppl live here. this makes me wonder, why always compare israel to the rest of the world, or europe?
why not compare israel to one country. im sure u will be suprised to see that comparing to the amount of ppl in israel, its one hell of a tranced country.
sadly, as ppl here said already, most of the new artists are 17-25 year old guys wich suffer from a lack of style & personal touch, so they work in a very formulatic way, trying to immitate the "great" ones.
i think hommega is responsable for most of this, they have gone entirly commercialised, check out bpm fm for example-a disgrace to the israeli trance scene. and lets not forget the chemical crew....

I can comment on the Progressive. Some weeks ago i was at a party with Antix, Etic, Guy Shanti and another dj who's name i don't remember, sorry. Well, Antix is no European but you really can hear the difference in "fatness" of sound. With all the respect to Guy and to Etic, and i do have dozens of one, Antix just blasted the fattest sound ever. Light years away from anything that was ever made in Israel. The only one in Israel that shows European standards is Yuli and all the rest are trying hard, i have no doubt, but still miles away from the famous Iboga or DS sound. I am crossing my fingers for an improvement. Perhaps Prosect and Blackout will surprise?
