Exactly. It's not fair to fans of the old GOA sound when you throw the high quality of progressive releases in their faces. The prog scene is FAR different from the old screaming melodic acid psy that many people started with, and you can't expect these people to love prog just because it has some great releases.
Personally, I LOVE the progressive sound. To me, "psychedelic" has come to mean "deep" rather than "crazy".
I just want music that engages my mind and then my feet, with lots of tribal elements, syncopation, smart melodies, and well-produced basslines. I don't care about screaming leads any more, or candy-kid rapid-fire basslines.
I think the REAL problem with the psytrance scene is that people have forgotton how to appreciate music. Everyone is always looking ahead 6 months to the next BIG THING, when there is already enough excellent music RIGHT NOW.
Play old stuff. Play new stuff. Play your own damn stuff. Hell, play tracks that aren't even part of the psy scene!! Just do something other than moan about how all the music you steal fails to live up to your romantic memories of the past. |

I think Yaniv from Hadshot do not connected to psychedelic scene anymore with last Hadshot releases....... wish them luck .................
What we need more variety in Psychedelic scene
for example now we have
Dark Psychedelic 20% (Kindzadza , Osom , Psycho Micro......)
Finish Funk 5% (Tsabeat, Sattle Battle.....)
Fullon 60% (Skazi , Astrix , Gms....... and their clones)
Psychedelic Techno 1%(Midi Miliz+X-Dreams gang , Nuclear Ramjet....)
Psychedelic Minimal 1% (Sensient , Cujirious One , Front Minimale....)
Psychedelic Chillout 1%(OTT , Shpongle , Violet Vision.....)
Psychedelic Progressive 7%(Atmos , Son Kite , Ticon.............)
i think we need more style ...... less strong fullon .... and unite all to psychedelic .....
unity from label to become bigger and more qualited
more stuff been released and it is hard to find goof one from it coz it's alot and mostly the same
For Example why there are D.Drum , G+ , Boshke Beatz and Nova Tekk while all of them release the same music ?
why not to unite to one big psyshdelic techno label
label managers and crew you only ones who responsible for low quality and great quantity of growing shit scene .......
fuck you all ... every kiddo opens label and every kiddo produce and then we will go fucking down and down ...fullon will be mainstream like house , more commercial and less psychedelic in some countries and rest will die fucking die..... |

i think that u need to try to understand other words exept yours!!!
stop to convince ppl to listen what u want u dont understand that...this is the flowing and if they come to the moment that they listen to vision or what else so they listen but pls...statistics from wher u come from the international trance faculty?!?!

its true that the mainstream is here and we have kiddo that do this and that but if i'm not wrong we also start when we was kiddo...
new age come and instead of us learn them how to do what they want we try to show them how much negative we may be when i'm was a kidd i learn to love all to respaect all...
maybe ther is some ppl that think they know shit about etic...trance culture but they also have opinion so we need to be considerate....

just don´t go to the parties where they play music you don´t like and organize your own underground parties.
why is everybody so exageratedly looking 4 new releases. there are plenty of old releases that can be used again or music from other scenes (AS LONG AS IT IS PSYCHEDELIC!!!)
this runnig after the very freshest music all the time is part of the problem, cause this way too much money comes in and the labels and artists get under strong pressure to finish their creative work "till next week"...
fuck commercialisation and industry.
on the other hand there
IS SOME VERY GOOD MUSIC AROUND THESE DAYS ALSO.
you just have to fin it.

and there you can recognize who really spends lots of his/ her energy and devotion to music, cause YOU CAN RECOGNIZE A MUSICIAN/ DJ WHO REALLY IS INTO IT.
not as 7-10 years ago when every dj got the same vinyls because there were so few releases.
the mass of "fetish djs" who just collect everthing they get as long as it is NEW don´t develop a true style and aura! |

i'm 22 years old(i have hair on balls since 15-16 , if you so intrested in pubic hair subject i can send you samples of mine to define) . i have many older than me friend who think the same way as this poor guy that won you attention .......

you all must have one point form this thread that there is much more music that it was when artists were "inspired" by LSD and other psychiactive drugs but today there is a quality loss in avarage but you still can find good music if you know to search well....
think also about that .... meny melodies were used , many styles and different track layouts were used in past scene is big now so ppl remove things that used in the past and try to build something new based on past expirience .....
then think about this music in 95'(when i started to listen to it)-99' was new and fresh that's why we all though it cool now it is mainstream so nobody gives a fuck ....
then think about nostalgy ,,,all human races have this kind .... so maybe it's just a nostalgy to all it was

When will people understand that one of the main charms of goa, at least for me, was that it used to be totally unlike conventional trance and house music / scenes. I simply don't want it to be influenced by those anymore as there are far more interesting and less commercial genres available to borrow ideas from... |

i meant something different by my words so i will rephrase ....
there is progressive scene
Labels : Virgin , Varpour , Electribe
Artists : Sasha , Bonham , Infusion
there is a past psychedelic progressive scene
Labels : Iboga , Hadshot , DS
Artists : Son Kite , VIsion and Canedy , Kruger and Coyle
there is not connection between two of these scenes , different levels of music production , $$ , fame and more more more
also post psy , now progressive labels lost their psyness so it is not ours anymore , maybe some releases still have some psychedelic and also not big huge progressive scene where the quality of releases win the competition ......
so help me to define this style else than i did post psy now progressive ......
it is not goa and not even connected to our forum , maybe only tha Hadshot is part of Cosmophlilia which still psy and other style distributor ......
let's not talk about Vision and Canedy anymore it is great music but nothing connected to our scene ... me remark about them was my personal argue with Clown about psychedelic ideas in Vision and Canedy ..
so let's stop this talk , this is not Goa and not our scene |
