1. Size 8 - Pimperknuckle
2. Dotman - Sattel Battle
3. Fjaqek - Tamlin
4. Captain Insano - Patrask
5. Monkey combat - Alrune
6. Izilop pop - Neuron Compost
7. Secret Surroundings - Derango
8. Noize in da Hood - The Vicious Spiral
9. Fucking system - Weird Alchemy

When I saw the artists list and when I undertood what kind of music this c.d will be like, I knew I just had to buy it. Received it last week from Psyshop, and all I know is that I can predict the future - this c.d will not get out of my c.d player for a very long time!

If you're into the usual boring powerful full on - this one is not for u.
BUT, if u're in for some psychedelic mind expanding musical experience and powerful as well on top of it - go go go get it.

The beauty of the compilation is that u get it all, packed in one c.d If u like it funky and jazzy, you can enjoy from Pimperknuckle & Sattel Battle tunes. If you like it really weird and mind expanding, then you've got Tamlin (joy joy - what a huge track). If you like it hard dancefloor, you've got Derango & The Vicious Spiral. If you like it hardcore and yet funny, you've got Alrune to entertain you. If you like it more old days goa psychedelic, you've got Neuron Compost. And of course if you're looking for one of the dinozaurs of psy music, you've got Weird Alchemy (which I have been a fan for a long time).
And eventually, if you'll be good and patient enough, you'll get one last suprise - unfortunately I do not know the last track's name, except that it is Reece's own track! (One of Gi'iwa's co-owners).

The tracks have been carefully chosen to fit all psy lovers. More dancefloor orientated and defenitely not music served on a golden plate. You've got to really listen to it in order to understand it. The more I listen, the more I discover. Do you remember the days when you could actually distinguish each track from each other? When trance music wasn't so chewed and recycled? This is an experience you'll relieve here.

To sum it up, a highly recommended compilation, both in originality and in production. It's Gi'iwa's first compilation, but certainly not the last. I hear you've got some goodies to offer us behind your sleeves

My favorites: #1, 2 (!!), 3 (!!!), 6, 9 and the last hidden track (naughty naughty feeling).
          Majority is never right!

Thanks for your opinions here Ravergirl. I've listened fragments of this on Psyshop and found it indeed to be very refreshing!! Also, I've always liked the weirder sound of things. (The Wavesoup album from Squearemeat still sounds great)
Now I think I'm going to put this compilation on my 'to order' list...           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

thanks for the review Candy!
so amazing to hear that ppl are enjoying this album and appreciate the direction we are trying to steer Gi'iwa in.
your support means alot to us!

as has been stated, its not the traditional psy style, but we have attempted to select tracks that are both boundary pushing and musically unique, yet still retain a strong dancefloor edge.

Nice review Candy!
Glad you enjoyed the release straight away.
As Reece mentioned above the tracks were selected to cover a few different styles and still keep you moving.
Its a MUST BUY for tracks 1,2,3 and 6 alone!

I think the Derango track is the closest to 'Killah' on the comp. Its dark and hard! Gets the floor rockin for sure.           ¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø, Gi'iwa//MuddyPigsº¤ø,¸¸,ø¤ºº

Yep - this is the album we have been craving for, ever since Psychovader on Apoxina.
The missing Link between the dark night stuff, and flying morning acid.
Perfect for the spiral party!

All 10 from Cloud 9 but my favs here are:
* Neuron Compost - "Izilop Pop": this track makes enough hairs stand up straight
to grow 108 6ft long dreads on a baba's head!
* Tamlin - "Fjagek": in dutch, Gek means Crazy and when ur Gek,
u know how Fja it all gets!
* Derango - "Secret Surroundings": please anybody - when will they release an album???

and the bonus is Neuron Compost as well?
Wow - really thought i had another Vicious Spiral release - thumbs up!!!

2 Reece & Gi'iwa : keep on keeping on!

& 2 Ravergirl: nice review u just beat me by a landslide
.. havent had any time to do any review lately,
but i think i'll post mine at "home", at http://www.goatrance.nl
