I have only been to 2 strictly uplifting parties and they weren't the best psy-xperiece for me.
one with holyman(release of C4) and one with verros at amnesia.mm so and so
but I have a story to share.
Verros was at the decks and he was spinning vereika and one burned right under him was shouting all the time "vara gianni varaaaaaa,spasta gianni spastttaaaaa,gama ta ola gianni reeeeeee gianni giannii spasta "but Verros name was Mike.the conclusions r yours
I preffered the afternoon sunrize zone parties at +soda.at the same time that upliftin was #1 in athens from the deck of +soda have passed the top spy artists like oforia,ben atkins,goa gill,los with wizzy and they were spinning every sunday in a half empty club
those were parties my friends

I am surprized when I see some ppl here so negative about this kind of trance.
Ok. today is almost dead is not so trendy like dark  and some people afraid to say:Yes I have some CDz..

IMHO
The same people of uplifting attent today in the psy events but these days was more pure, (5 years ago)
the partys have better girls for sure  and in some other citys haven't discover the trance music yet..
Yes yes uplifting was no so bad as some people believe here.
Is anybody here when Holymen come to u-matic for the presentation of Ethno trance?
or maybe when Suki come after the Geometry?
Do you remember more than 1500 ppl dancing all together happy with big smiles in their faces?
Uplifting is past now. Nothing special happen today.
But:
Give to a lot of older ppl here a lot of fun and unforgetable memories.
If you talk bad about this dosn't mean you are in and trendy trancer.
Mean you haven't live one of the best parts of Greek trance scene of the past.
Djs like Verros and Mike D or Lambros just open the door for nowdays Greek psytance scene with all those partys. They must have our respect about this even if we don't like this kind of music today..

I don't know if dark trance in the most popular here in Greece but i'm sure that is more quality from the uplifting
I don't know what you mean when you say quality.
Most popular for sure. But who knows in 5 years?

I blame the Israelis for uplifting. The only good thing about that music is that it kept all the popeye singing kareklades away from the good parties.
When you think about it, Israeli full on is not that bad compared to playstation music...actually on second thought most of it is.

u're right mate, the big thing i missed about uplifting parties are the girls, they were a lot !!!
or should we say maybe Sarantos parties, coz generally he used to put girls for free and it was a very good tactic ...
i remember some parties at NR6 with psy music also with lot of girls

uplifting parties in greece was m.verros so maybe here u can find the answer dark elf why so many ladies..maybe one very clever proffesional promoter can arrange a solution about the problem with so many girls at the parties nowdays ..
i remember him before left saloniki organizing hard techtrance parties at 1990-91 with big success,alot of women,dress code in to the club and 2 cases into the stage dancing *girls only with their underwear,mono ta kala koritsia pou thimithikan na feroun tis zartieres..ets hehe )impressive,i still remember that..
as about the i.q of the ppl they like uplifting its not better to speak like i.q.fitou ,i q radikiou cause its all matter of taste ..
