Yes friend it was a hell of a time
had a blast with you as well, very cool guy
met some really nice smiley face people here in the party as it was my first in america
alot of breakdance ravers though, but everyone is welcome lol
Sun project was a very fun fun live, and played alot of older classic tracks wasnt the first time but its always a blaster!
after sun project amazing progy live, some dj came up and well... kinda killed it
playing some vocal ravey trance, not quite my cup of tea and nothing psytrance...
after a couple hours of paul van dyk trance..
the master dino took the stage, and presented a very diferent kind of live then i was waiting for, but of very very good quality and very psy, was waiting for more of his electro bassline music, but was very on the effect acidtrance kind of music,
nevertheless very original nice live, loved it, very sensational music with alot of flavor..
Surrender where u the fat guy with the long hair?
yes the last dj if i still remeber well was omi and was very well indeed and had a great set, but didnt remeber too well (kinda partied too hard)
loved the party
as for the downsides, thought some of the deco was kind of cheesy too, and a pretty big problem was i thought the sound was very equalized for techno, very weak bassline and hard plates(if thats how u say it), kick, and effects, and i love a bassline to dance too very important...
neverless it was a hell of a party

I must also give thumbs up to this party, even though I couldn't stay until the end...the deco/environment was the best i've ever seen at Spirit for a Tsunami party...and I couldn't believe how unusually spacious it was in there...you could actually walk from one side of the dancefloor to the other without making any human contact...not that it was deserted or anything, it just wasn't packed like a metallica concert or something...this probably had atleast a little to do with 2 other parties happening the same night, i saw only a handful of familiar faces...as for the music, SUN Project was a little too cheesy with their buttrock guitar solos, alien masks, and fake live instruments, though they still had some moments and a pretty nice groove...next up was Dino, and yes his track selection reminded me of a more psy PVD...a little on the cheesy side when he played vocal tracks, but still smooth, flowing, groovy, and refreshing ...i had to leave during Dino's set, but I'm sure Omi rocked out again like Wednesday night...and sorry PsyActive, I completely disagree with you about the sound...there is no better system in NY for bringing this music to life indoors (except maybe cielo's), and it was pinpoint accurate once again...congrats to Tsunami for pulling off a successful party against the odds
p.s. ever wondered what a psytrance party in mainland china would look like? try going to Spirit every 3rd friday of the month
p.p.s. KILLER SET GADI ;-) |

Wow, it's too bad I didn't end up going. I'm glad to see that this party was better than last month's and that those of you who went seemed to enjoy yourselves. These reviews definitely make me want to go to their next one. |
