the nyc big club atmosphere on weekends isnt good at all.
small parties are where its at.
id take lesser known artists with a great psy vibe over torture to see big names. |

Tsunami Trance should tell their flier designer that he makes mistakes all the time.
You remember the Hallucinogen/Shpongle flier from last year? And i just noticed another typo on the SUN Project/Dino/Omi/Surrender flier. Not a big deal, but you know what i mean

I so can't wait to see Sun Project!!! Of course all others too, Omi is my personal favorite, I love and adore him. But Sun Project live was something I always wanted to see and it never worked out for me. This time it will!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!

 Just a question, in the flyer it says "Fukin Fridays + Spirit" and they told me that the "Fuking Fridays" VIP card will not be honored...
do you guys from tsunami know about it?

I saw Hallucinogen at Spirit in '04 and it was a great show, sounded good, crowd wasn't bad and the security was not overdone. I don't think it was a Tsunami party or anything, and it was awhile ago, so maybe that changes the landscape, but I see no reason to hate on Spirit for one bad night.
They can't do a whole lot to restrict jerks from buying tickets. They can't say you're wearing the wrong type of shirt, or you are part of the Gotti crew so we can't let you in (although i wish they could).... unfortunately for my situation, they DID let in those jerk police... even if they thought they were doing their jobs well, they obviously didn't keep it under control...... (see end of Younger Brother thread for more info on my situation...)
personally, I'd love to go to this show. but considering what happened the last time, i'm just not making too much of an effort. |

I can only repeat what's already been said...it sucks that there will be three good parties (in terms of talent) on the same night. I wanted to see Sun Project when they were here last Sept., but I missed them. I would love to go this time, but I'll probably just make it to the other two. To everyone going to Spirit on Fri., have fun!! |

3 things were wrong at our lasts event at SPIRIT: 1. slow moving line, including for the ticket holders, 2. security, 3. enough room.
The first two issues were addressed within 48 hours. There will be immediate entrance for ticket holders or will call. There was an unusual situation for the slow moving line, which will not happen again. (thanks to the weather Gods for being our side!). The Security issue has also, immediately been addressed to, and one guard fired. Should you see or be a victim of any unethical activity by the security, don't cause a fuss, but point it out, with as many details as possible, to a TSUNAMI representative. You must be able to exactly identify the guard, and it can not be because you got caught doing wrong things. There must be more to it..).
For above two issues, please accept our appologies. ,
About the issue of enough space to dance: there are very few things we can do to improve the flow, but they will be done.
It is very important for the movement to have a permanent presence at one of the best clubs in the city. The owners and new management of SPIRIT have a long term commitment with us, and they are very eager to help us have a nice and top quality experience, including safe and polite security.
Besides every 3rd Friday of the month at SPIRIT, we will continue to, form time to time, have a Sunday night at CIELO (only Sundays are awailable to us, and because of it's size it is a very difficult act to pull off, no matter how magical the venue), and brand new venue to open shortly, where we will start on Friday, April 7th (smaller than SPRIIT, larger than CIELO, and very nice). Prices at SPIRIT will mostly be $30 in advance, $35/40 at the door, except for special arrangements.
Complaints (or compliments) should be made directly to us at info@tsunami-trance.com. We always respond, but we don't have time to scan 3rd party sites for potential issues with us.

I have a problem with the sale of tickets in advance PLUS store commision. It would be nice if you could just sell the tickets at the door. $25-$30 before a certain time (12 or 1am), $35-40 after. This way when people decide last minute to attend, they don't get screwed by a $5 or $10 increase in price at the door.
This also makes the line move faster too off course. If you ever find yourself being ripped apart by a pack of wolves, try not to scream. Everbody knows wolves can smell fear. |

I second that even though i know it's very difficult for Tsunami Trance crew to do that.
I got a date with some nice girl on Friday and now i'm eating myself on the inside for eventually missing this party. So this way if i end up going to the party i'll have to pay 40. And i can't order advance ticket because i don't know whether i'm going for sure. Ohhh, dilemmas  |
