I thought I'd cleared things Gunter but obviously not. I am sorry for upsetting you, your original post that I first responded to came across as aggro and I responded in kind. I'm sorry and wish to leave it behind as a breakdown in for m etiquette.

Let's get back to the music & try to be cordial to each other from now on?

Checkout Cryo Chamber if you find yourself liking really dark ambient.

Pretty interesting label, if i remember good it is founded by Simon Heath aka Atrium Carceri and his best releases are on Cold Meat Industry (but now i see that all of them you can digital buy on cryochamber) so check that label too, since Cold Meat Industry is probably best dark ambient label in history.
Ptahil by Atrium Carceri is a must have
Raison D'etre works are also some or the masterpieces of dark ambient (Requiem for Abandoned Souls my personal favorite).

Simon Heath also does music under Krusseldorf, which is some of my all time favorite psychill stuff. It's amazing to me that it's the same guy as AC.

Babaluma, a bit weird, that you say that I am confrontational, because OzMike is the one who was confrontational and I am just trying to explain, why I think that this was harsh and very unfriendly behaviour. Please don`t be so confrontational, Babaluma (kidding). Even so he "attacked" me in this forum (other topic), calling me an asshole out of nothing / without any reason and visible for all, I of course follow your suggestion and go pm.

Anyways, even so this feels like 100 % kindergarden, my mind still says that I should clear that situation.

On Topic: I listend through all releases of Cryo Chamber while working today. I really love them. Thanks for this hint

Most welcome, good sir.

Lots of investigation to do hear. Thanks for all the tips.

Re. Pete Namlook I guess I find it hard to find somewhere to buy his stuff legitimately whereas all money made from the 8 CD collection in his remembrance def. goes to his family which is why I got it

Not sure how much money he'd have made over his career but he was only 51, and I'm sure it's not easy to lose someone that young.

Pete Namlook & Tetsu Inoue's Shades of Orion Trilogy

Released on Fax+49 which is the definitive label for all things ambient...

Good luck finding copies of their releases though

the first "shades of orion" album is really good, as is tetsu inoue's "ambient otaku" album. very minimal but very nice.           http://hermetechmastering.com : http://www.discogs.com/artist/Gregg+Janman : http://soundcloud.com/babaluma

maybe not strictly ambient, but one of the most beautiful peaces of enchanting and deep music for me is: klaus wiese - el hadra

I like this thread!           words People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff.

Cheers mate

yeah it's gone better than I expected Lots to explore but I'm being careful in that I've just cut my CD collection down to essentials (75% gone) & I'm not a big fan of digital purchases or free download even (doesn't click for me yet).

When I've had a chance to check out the Pete Namlook tribute release properly I'll leave feedback.

This music is really helping me relax and find space for myself which I've never done in the last few decades, and it's epic me get my anxiety & neurosis under control more than therapy has. Combining the two can only benefit me, my son and wife           Cuntus Maximus.

Had a beautiful psychedelic experience last year, ironically same weekend Namlook took his trip to the stars. Spent most of the time looking up at them as we heard all three Shades of Orion back to back. It was one of the most incredible journeys to date....more profound than most psytrance experiences I've had.

In last couple weeks i stuck on From Within series, since i didn't listened that albums couple of years.. Amazing. Must say that collaboration with Hawtin is one of Namlook best works including albums with Tetsu Inoue and Psychonavigation series with Bill Laswell. Dark Side of the Moog is out of competition as it's top ambient collaboration series of all time.
If someone is interesed in some newer beatless ambient( by that i mean on new fresh artists) good start may be Deep Space Mixes series by ASC, as most of it's pure ambient but some parts can be downtempo. I also find some free album on ektoplazm, pretty nice to listen.

Yeah I stupidly sold my Ultimae collection last year to pay for some soft synths (which I now have sold to a friend ).

I miss the Ultimae sound so am going to save and buy the complete set from them direct early next year.

I know most is not pure ambient but there is something about their sound & a good glass of scotch!!           Cuntus Maximus.

Uh. Who spoke about Ultimae? But anyways, there are also some fine ambient releases on it, even so I wouldn`t call that "true ambient", as you named that topic.

If you are into drone you should also check out Robert Rich`s "Somnium". This is going over 7 hours. One piece of ambient drone sleeoing concert.

BtW, OzMike, it would be nice to get a reaction on my pm, mr no response.
