I vaguely remember talking to Ott not long after the album came out (SDF 2003) & I was saying how much the track got everyone going when it was played out - and Ott said that it almost didnt make it on the album..
which just goes to show..
or something...

It's not all from one song for sure, as some of it is in Hindi and some not. Though I can't say what the other language is. But Ott must be both an excellent singer and sound manipulator in order to come out with the non Hindi part on his own, and the voices do sound the same...
Anyway, my friend in India is already working on sending it over

Interesting to note that Ott is working with/on Entheogenic tracks for their new album. Now that makes me very curious.

I agree, am looking forward to it having only recently discovered Entheogenic and being a big fan of (The Blessed) OTT. Actually, the main reason I'm posting is because I realised recently that a track I have by Ikarus called Ancient Lullaby uses the same sample as the second half/chorus part of the Smoked Glass And Chrome vocal. Check it out, around 1m55s, I am almost 100% sure it's the one, at the very least it's the same song and melody. Doesn't sound like Asha though (from Aao Huzoor)
...if anyone recognises it or knows its origins answers on a postcard to.......

I little birdie told me that Michele Adamson had something to do with the vocals on this track  ... dont know how valid that is though.
could someone look into that further? |
