Let my feets go off the ground, that the worst thing u can do, think that u are above of other people just because u are the dj or the live act, i learn my lesson.

Keep it real, keep it simple, keep it on the ground           If u are Something, Dont ask for nothing
If u are Nothing, Dont ask for something

Pressing 'Pause' on the wrong CD deck by mistake, subjecting the dancefloor to 5 seconds of juddering kick-drum attack before panicking, ejecting the CD, putting it back in the deck and playing the whole track again.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Standing in for a hip hop DJ friend and playing nothing but psy for a hip hop crowd. Hey, he said the choice of music was up to me...

it was this year on an outdoor festival in upperaustria.
when this guy was bothering me while i was playing.
after some minutes i told him to leave me cause i dont want and can talk to him right now.
surprisingly he went off immediately.
"that went smooth" i thought and with a cool move i pressed the eject button.
unfortunately it was the cd playing.
doh!           - last possible solution

Ha-ha!! So how did the majority of the crowd react? Did they flame you with rhymes??

Well, I havent been DJ'ing since 2002 and I was never a "pro" - just a commerc crap DJ in Creteha, but - I guess my mistakes has been - The biggest. Big crowd, everyone in the groove/zone at the dance floor.. And I manage to press the main power button so that the whole system (music & lights) got turned off for 2 minutes or so. The Club owner run up to me and yelled into my face while the audience buuhuu'ed! .. Plus a couple of mistakes like Colin & Lokus mentioned. But hey! It's all about learning from mistakes. And hell, I can look back and laugh of it today, which is always nice ^^ .. I'm also guilty of putting on a mixed compilation to hook up with a girl, bathroom or that I was to fucked up to play, so I needed a break (I learn from mistakes). Funny story - I got a VERY bad/old drink once that made me puke ALOT! So as the "pro" I am, I sat on a chair with a bag, puking AND mixing (umm, changing tracks and so on) at the same time for hours. It was one memorable night I tell ya (lucky for me, the DJ booth was 3 meters above the dance floor.) .. I’m lucky that I never ripped down the whole DJ equipment to the floor or something. That would Really suck. Ha-ha, would take a while to get it all connected again.

no one is perfect everyone makes mistakes on the decks but the point is that we should learn from our mistakes and get better
