Question: Why doesn't Scandinavia (with or without you Finns ) have a united flag, like Union Jack (The U.K. flag)? I think it would be mighty kool. Hell, I even sometimes dream of a united Scandinavia where we are all a part of one country, one football liege. How would that flag look? Would Norway shear it's oil wealth? Would the Danish people continue to look down at Sweeds? Would the Danish people get a grip and get some real hot-dogs? What you guys think? .. Any other business we need to discuss about Scandinavia / The Nordic Countries?

Speak up!

Hehe.... yeah... I wanna see that flag... and without the cross in it! From the beginning "we" were vikings and believed in Thor, Odin and other mighty gods... Then the christians came and forced thier religion upon "us"... That´s why we have a cross in our flags :S

Isn´t anyone good at drawing and can do a Scandinavian flag? Just for fun?

I don´t think so much about wich contries that is indcluded in Scandinavia but when I was younger I always thought of Island, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and ofcourse Finland as one united country or that had the same "roots"... I know this might be wrong in someones ears/eyes but this was the way I thought *Freedom Of Speech*

Ja mann, someone please be creative and design a National Scandinavia flag?

The Icelandic flag is the Norwegian flag in reverse. The Icelandic language is actually the original Norwegian language, but because of the invasion of Christianity and ownership by the Danish and Swedish kingdoms long time ago, it got changed to the mix of Danish/Swedish that we know so well today. The Icelandic people consist of old Viking blood from both Nor-folk and Dan-folk. The Swedish king in his day (When Sweden owned Norway) got a tip from someone that if he would have a vote, he would once again be voted by the Norwegian people to throne the nation. Little did he know that this choice would free Norway from the soft iron grip of Sweden. Norway would once again become independent and free, no more Danish or Swedish ruler. This is to remind you good people that soon, on the 17th of May, Norway will celebrate their annual independence from Sweden. What I love about Scandinavia (contrast to the Balkans) is that we're good friends, we're true brothers and sisters living one dream of freedom and goodness. Sure the Sweeds and Norwegians have their prank jokes about each other telling how dumb the other nation is. But that’s just pure for fun, no hard feelings. One is not better then the other, we are all equal.
If you read Danish text, it’s like speaking Norwegian. But if you talk Danish, it sounds not so similar to Norwegian. Swedish language is more understandable than the verbal Danish, but in written text. Swedish is harder to understand. Haha. Are you following me so far? I love Danish, currently I’m living in Denmark, and I think the Danish language is ultra chill. It’s so ease up and relax dude, no stress here. Denmark is also very interesting for it’s CandyRaver tradition. As far as I can Remember, the candyravers in Norway kind of died in the late 90’s when Euro-trance faded and became extinct. How it is in Sweden, I don’t know, but I doubt the candyraver thing lives strong there. Candyravers is a more German phenomenon, and Denmark’s close relation to Germany explains this imo.

Candyravers, extremely hot chicks with minimum clothing, puffed up strange shoes and sometimes, well often, silicon breasts. The guys are pumped up on anabolic steroids pumped up on chemicals looking all macho Funny people. Full-on people. Full-Of-Powe people Ogga!

Well, that’s enough blahblah for one day.

Nice with some old history about our contries, intresting reading =)

Hehe... we sure have our prank jokes about eachother... but that´s just funny... haven´t heard so many jokes that norweigan´s say about us sweedes tho... but guess they are mostly the same but just reversed nationalities when ppl tells them

Do you know why norwegians always has an cap on their head when they driving a motorcycle?

- No?

When they throw the helmet down a cliff, the helmet cracked but the cap didn´t!

Just had to tell one... most of ém are stupid like this one (the jokes not the norwegians)

I can understand Norwegian much better then Danish... But my grandparents live like 1 hour by car from the Norwegian border so they use some words that´s equal... I have BIG problems understand Danish, sounds like they have something stuck in their throat... (no hard feelings my fellow danish brothers and sisters) But it´s almost the same with people from "Skåne"... It´s the region as south as you can come in Sweden... It did belong to Denmark once I believe... and that´s why they speak pretty much the same in my ears... also, "Skåne" has it´s own flag that is Red with an Yellow cross in the middle... An mix of the Swedish and Danish flag...

Well... I don´t call them "Candy Ravers" I call them "UV-Tomte/UV-Tomtar".... don´t know how to translate that in english... "Blacklight-Brownie"? ??

Don´t know If it just me that uses that phrase... but that´s what I call all these ppl that dresses with these fluffy clothes and with colors that lights up the whole area around them And it´s "Full-On people" that dresses like that... hmm... maybe I have some prejudices now... but hey, ppl can dress like they want... I just think they look funny They surely add some colors in the dark, no need for backdrops.. "kidding"
