I dont know if this has been posted before.. But i couldnt find any other posts about it.
But Scandinavia is the countrys, Norway, Sweden and Denmark..
See the missing link..? You guessed it.. FINLAND ..
The nordic countrys = Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. (Are there any Icelandic psyacts..?)

Technically this is correct, but then again even on bbc they claim that finland is scandinavian. It's usually incorrectly used as a synonym for nordic countries. It's a very common misconception. |

I agree.. and i know what your talking about.. But lets take a look at MTV Europe.. There they have a show called Nordic Top 5.. Not Scandinavia Top 5.. Because within all music styles there are so many gifted people from Finland and Iceland.. So within music i think its better to use the term Nordic then scandinavian.
PS. Are there any icelandic psyacts.. known ones?

i bet if you asked a finn on the street
he/she would say :
"there is scandinavia... and finland" 
i don't care if it's scandinavia or nordic
countries.
my suggestion: "really really up north countries with santa claus and polar bears
walking along the streets"
(that's what most people around the world think they know about these parts of the world...)

I agree, we all belong here. But dont you think it would be a good idè to rename the forum?
Nordic Countries (Or NordicCountries) - I think it would be better. 
Maybe you should make a poll? Send a suggestion about it to the "bosses" of isratrance.com..? Dont just dismiss my thoughts and suggestions like that..

Come on guys, you know that us germans like to boss around and tell people what is right and wrong  and we are known to be correct! 
Scandinavia just isn't correct, so contact Haifa and get them to change the name.  |
