btw: found out that one speaker is rattling a bit on kicks that contain a bit of low end, hoping for fast replacement of the faulty one, otherwise i jump on the adam s2x (looks like they sorted out the portnoise). so.. yes opals sound amazing but are tricky..           http://soundcloud.com/vipal

maybe that why someone send them back , or that why these are at that price.. anyway event is supposed to have really good customer support so maybe see with them directly insteed of the shop if you have warrantly, they should exhange these for a new pair

My studio finally got the monitors positioned right I think.

Barefoots are broken in... awesome to work with... bad mixes suck on them, and they're ridiculously good at showing me how much I have left to learn...

What's really cool is that my A7s seem flattering now - I used to find them very neutral - so they make excellent easy listening speakers for the living room... I still love the Adam tweeters.

The Barefoot MM35s are a little more affordable and apparently same neutral, laser accurate sound.

Also checking out Spiral Groove passives and ATC AML series for secondary near fields.

Towersonic speaker stands now filled and perfectly height adjusted, have them and the ATCs set up in a lovely position. Huge width and depth, incredible slam and transient detail, deep and tight bass, crystal clear mids, and a shimmering and extended top end. Flat as a pancake with a perfect centre image. When I close my eyes everything disappears into a gorgeous sonic environment that wraps around the room. Been banging the new Hardfloor album at ungodly levels. Happy camper.           http://hermetechmastering.com : http://www.discogs.com/artist/Gregg+Janman : http://soundcloud.com/babaluma

i head to buy an HS7 and they gave me an HS8, cause i did web payment and they didnt had an 7"...

they sound amazing, its very very good...

my only question is...

im in a 3x4 meter room....behind wall is a big large wall to wall wood weardrobe...is there is a need to use -4db room control? -2db is enough isent?

i tested -4 and -2... -2 sound great, but its strong...u can hear from others rooms the low freqs...nothing soo exagerated...but when i use -4db room control its seems i dont get enough Bass...           https://soundcloud.com/ancientaliengoa
