@ dtd

excellent link! thanks a lot..

I was just wondering if anyone could explain how to create a plug-in chain using sound forge?

I usually just apply the limiter offline in cubase & bounce a new wav..i was wondering if anyone knows how to do it by creating a plug-in chain using soundforge as mentioned in the article in the link..

thanks!

S-Cube, i don't have soundforge here right now, but isn't there a possibility to insert plugins like in wavelab? so when playing the audio goes through the plugin stack from first to last insert > this is your processing chain. now adjust whatever you want to be done to the sound, and then render it. (at least that's how it is in wavelab). i hope i was able to help you a bit

I was using vintage warmer for mastering alot, turning off the limiting option, but i find that despite it having multiband option, you cannot adjust the relative threshold, attack, release for each band so am inclined to try using pluging like LinMB which does have those options.

Okay, thanks again dtd.

Question: What's the difference between the waves linMB and the C4? They look very similar...

LinMB has 5 bands, with phase-linear crossovers - C4 has 4 bands and 'normal' EQ crossovers.
