hey to all, this is my firt post. I'm having a serious problem working with the leads in my sound, right now i'm using discodsp and i can't figure out how can i give more dinamic to the sound. Like up and down the scale of the running lead. I don't know if vanguard is better than discovery. I can't figure out how vanguard melodies work. :|

for example LFO indeed... Dynamism are created by changing the timbre rhytmically or randomly. An LFO is a good tool to achieve this, but there are lot's of ways to do this... In psytrance this is very important, static sounds just don't work... Automation is the most flexible way of achieving dynamism. |

Hello...
first, im so sad... i cant get the lead sounds i want. sure, i can use some presets and modify them... but... arg... not what i truly want.
If someone could please give advice. Becuase I am soooo stuck right now:
I want to make one of those high-pitch, no bass, techy grindy leads. For example many of the leads used by CPU or sometimes by Infected Mushroom (the main hook in IM the supervisor, or the end hook in Ratio Shmatio), or many of the leads Nystagmus uses. That long sawwy type sound that can be changed with the mod/pitch wheel.
im using Albino2/Malstrom/VStation, with Cubase.
If anyone knows how to get this sound, or have a patch, or know what hardware I must buy, please help! thanks |

bwahaha....the infected mushroom synthersizer???? the NORD? no dude , if you understand synthesis , you can make psy sounds with any decent subtractive,FM, or graintable synth.....
er and dont forget the mighty virus

hush and sundrop, check my post about fm7, if you add several oscillators you can get to that sound...
