WOW. Just almost blew my speakers. Creepers.

You have it very very dangerous settings on the eq is see. This is similar sound to your clip but not quite the same

What did you do to tone the levels when making your clip? you use the faders or eq different?

the only diff would be minor shifts in the eq, and adsr on the es1. also the kik you use is going to be a very bog factor in the bass sound coming out.. not to forget i used a sidechain on the original as well

Cubasing is like Freebasing, just with audio.
Both cost more than you can afford, and leaves you sitting in a dark room with no life, craving for more.

sounds weird... let me get home and give it a check...
i have all my cst's individually in folders ie bass/leads/fx/etc

not sure how leading a cst would have affected your smtpe settings but will check and get back.

I have a question. I have a P4 2.4 gig pc. Should I spend the large amount of money on a Macbook Pro, or upgrade my PC. I am just getting into producing my own tracks, and want to know if it is worth it. Can I make tracks with mostly logic alone? I just want to know if its worth the $3000 dollars for Macbooc Pro+Logic, or if I should spend the money on upgrades for my PC and other software and hardware. Thanks!           AUDIO VIRUS

I think most people here will say go mac

logic is a great sequencer, and it comes already with a lot of good instruments and effects...in my opinion, you need a bit more to make psy like a few synths and some drumkits...but its not impossible to do a track just with logic, especially the effects are really that good that you dont need much else (at least for the first time)           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

I switched from PC to Mac, and also had to make a decision. I was using Cubase SX and had all the softsynths and plugins you could imagine via H20. Having developed a conscience I wanted to own the software that I use most and not be a blatant leach, and my pc was a pain in the ass with conflict and crashes.

So I bought a MacBookPro and Logic 8. I had quite a time getting used to the difference, even though it has same functions as Cubase, it just different enough to confuse you.

Osx Rocks, and kicks Windows Asss bigtime.

Logic synths are very good, the plugs have good presets to start from and there are also good presets the combine different instruments, plugs and settings as one preset, which you can then tweak.

I also had to buy Camel Space and Phat.

I miss Waves, did not buy it.

I miss PSP plugins, and Sonalksis.

I miss ImpOSCar, KORG legacy collection and some others...

I found try before buy Native Komplete, I'll buy the ones i use next time I have money.

Overall, happy to use a system that works but miss some of the instruments and plugs I had been used to, but then again I did not learn to use the new instruments yes, the ES1, ES2, ESX24, etc are good.

Logic does not have offline processing history, only thing that cubase really is ahead in. Logic is a more complete package, for what you pay for it with student discount, it is well worth the money if you have it to spend.

hope that helps....

if by that you mean an offline bounce, it does you have to select it when bouncing, bottom left of the window...

No I mean offline processing history, in Cubase SX you can process audio with a plugin, it renders the audio part with the plugin and settings you selected, then you process it again with another plugin, and then another. Now the audio part has been re-processed several times, and all the effects incorporated without the plugins running.

In the history, you can undo any step of that processing, so if in step one you did EQ, you can go back and change that after, with out having to start over and do all the other steps over again as well.

http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=SFLogicNinja

this guy made a lot of good tutorials for logic.
some of them are quite basic but others really can give you some new ideas.
it's not psy related but i think thats even more interesting.

I also bough camel space and camel phat, and used the download link to save the installers to my Hard disk. Then made copies on DVD. They will send you the registration codes by mail, keep those mails safe as well, can copy and keep them on text file on same DVD, then you can always reinstall.
