Which version of macbook pro is worth buying ?
I'm planning to buy one but i dunno...the 17", the 15" with more RAM ??

15" will fit inside most backpacks.
get the 15" if you want portability.
and don't buy extra 2 gig ram from apple,
buy it from a third party (i forgot the name)
but its $800 versus like $200.

I'd say DO buy extra ram from apple.
OK it's very expansive but it is the ram which fit to your system. I read something talking about other ram brands on macbook and mbp, u have less performance and more heat.
Upgrading to 2gig of ram on my macbook cost : 300 euros.

well since you guys trust apple so much, then why not. its only a few more $$$.
personally I got the ram from apple (i learned about the other ram later), but if i had a time machine, i would buy the other ram. and use the money to buy an extra hard drive or something.
the macbook gets hot regardless. I can't imagine it getting any hotter... unless it can actually melt (that would be cool to watch). less performance? sounds like propaganda to me. but what do i know?

I don't know if there is a choice between "matte" and "glossy" screen with this new macbook...
(that alone would stop me from buying the new macbook)
but if you do, then avoid the "glossy", because it is annoying as fuk with all the glares and stuff. |

Can anyone help me find my Albino presets folder? I'm new to Mac OS and I need to add my preset bank from my PC to the MAC but can't locate the path for the folder.

Logic question: Is there any way to open the sequencer in a separate child window (to have it on another monitor)? If it's possible it's probably really simple..can't figure it out though.

Sub Atomic: I dont see your problem. logics channeleq works good for bass, and everything else
Kane: just open it from the window menu...this should work, but I'll have a look at it tomorrow.
