						| ^ i'm not much familiar with soundforge so don't know if it can record directly anything from the main output....
i was also looking for a tool which could record from the main output of computer from sometime and --==Bad Sector==-- suggested me "Audio hijack pro"
i must say it's a great product and is very helpful.

						| i also had trouble with my mbp's cd drive few months back.. it also stopped reading few dvds.
i took it to apple store and they replaced the drive free of cost because it was in warranty.

						| got cubase working on my mac's
@allegoric .... If ur not happy with 10mins recording let me know
               Nocturnal Wizardz Recs Bhooteshwara Records
Cubasing is like Freebasing, just with audio.
Both cost more than you can afford, and leaves you sitting in a dark room with no life, craving for more.

						| was searching for a musical calculator for reverberation times and found this one, unfortunately for me is only for mac so mac users here might like it
 description

BPMCalc is a calculator that converts between tempo, lfo & note durations. It handles notes between 1/ to 1/64 in normal, dotted and triplet variations. This applications intended use is to calculate delay, echo & reverberation times when you want a tempo synced effect.

You can input tempo, lfo oscillation & duration (in ms or s) and it will convert your input. Version 1.2 adds a tap tempo functionality, it allows you to tap a tempo using your mouse or keyboard. Useful in many different ways.
