Hi there, a question: how can I get to the pardey place by bus or train from Sofia? Our train arrives to Sofia at 18:15, on the 7 of July, so we won't have time to catch the last party bus |

The quickest way is to catch the first train to Pazardjik. After arriving in Pazardjik you should catch a bus to Batak village, which is very close to the Batak lake.
Another way to reach Batak is to catch a bus from Sofia to Peshtera (if there is any) And from Pestera to Batak is close enough.
Hint: The central bus station is 2 minutes by walk from the train station. You can check the timetables first before bye a ticket. |

hi, we're going to the festival from Greece from Kavala, so I'd like to know which is the nearest village from that direction. or if you can tell me anything that helps in finding the party place from there I'll be very pleased. (we're going by car) thanks. |

the nearest village to the festival is Batak...the nearest town to that villafe is Peshtera situated north from Batak village ,but u will cross our borders in Kulata so u have to take the road Sandanski-Razlog-Velingrad-Pechtera or Sandanski-Goce Delchev-Dospad-Batak or sometheing like that hehe it will be better to find any road map of Bulgaria

We will have festival shuttles leaving from Sofia Centre, Stadium Levski, on the 6th and 7th afternoon every two hours.
Otherwise the shortest way goes:
Sofia-Velingrad-Tsigov Chark.
Tsigov Chark is a settlement on the shore of lake Batak. From Tsigov Chark the festival venue (located in Kostandovski Zaliv [zaliv means bay in Bulgarian]) is 10 kms, along the shore.
There are direct trains and buses to Velingrad from Sofia, buses at 13.00 and 15.00 every day, Friday one more at 17.00.
The town Batak is on the other side of the lake, opposite to Tsigov Chark. If you arrive in Batak, it is better to hike to Tsigov Chark, or longer, until the dam, which is the end of the paved road. Walking from Batak to the venue takes longer than from Tsigov Chark.
As Astronavt said, the lake is also reachable from the direction of Pazardjik, from where there are buses going to Velingrad.
There will be transport around the lake, roaming between Batak, Tsigov Chark and the festival venue. The venue in good weather is accessable with car, but the dirt road is tight and if rain comes it might be jammed, so we won't let cars to the venue, except for caravans.
Taxi is very cheap in Bulgaria. The Velingrad-Tsigov Chark-dam distance is 14 kms, it is normally about 4-5 Euros (8-10 levs) with taxi. I am quite sure there will be taxis around the lake too, don't let yourself be overcharged!
I just came back to Sofia from there, for a short time. The crew is almost done with the on site preparations, decoration, constructions are being shaped. All created in harmony with the beautiful nature...All created in harmony with the beautiful nature... the locally born Orpheus' spirit is hardly waiting for the birth of Tchamla Kingdom Festival...

i for one did not recieve a ticket for a flight. i know a few others got no tickets either.
i think we can safely call this moment on Friday - the last moment - and i dont think that I will be going to Bulgaria this weekend since I did not recieve and word from the orgenisers that it will be OK or any info of flights or whos coming to pick us up or anything. I know some artists got emails from the orgenisers about tickets and advances but nothing has really been done about actually booking the tickets or paying advances till this moment.
i have a feeling you will not be seing many of the artists on the line up acctually in the festival... BE WARE
