The same as us (me and slater). We received the electronic air tickets from organisers but they were false. So we just had a beautuful trip to the airport where we found out that this festival is a big trick. We called one of the organisers and he pretended that his phone isnt working properly and hung up.

This festival is one big rip-off! All of you who paid for the entrance ticket should insist on getting your money back, because most of the artists on the line up will in fact never play at this event. The organizers of Tchamla are probably the worst assholes I have met in this scene so far - to put your name on the flyer and then just send you a false airline ticket is the peak of arrogance...

Shame on organisers and people supporting them !
How could you do that, indeed most of artists made a big effort to come and play on your poor festival...And now there are only some bulgarian djs...People who read this, don't come, don't support this kind of bullshit !
Thanks to you to make the trance scene in progress, put some international names on a flyer for making money...pfff

This is so pity. "Tchamla fest" will be for sure the second big event in Bulgaria (After XPO 2002) , that was NOT made by bulgarian organization and become the big bullshit.
So sorry, hope to meet you here one day at any better event.

I hope this 2nd time of a Festival has tought you the Bulgarians a lesson. Do not trust these criminal organizers. Make your own Festivals. Even though we here at the forums know that it's Macedonians and Hungarians that are responsible this time round many will think it's Bulgarians that are arrogant and criminal. Dont make this mistake a 3rd time. Take control and create your own events in the Future. |

Yep, I was on Expo as well.. it was the same scenario. Most of the artist on the flyer never came
The only thing I would like to know is if it was planned before or if the organisators are just idiots who exadurated their possibilites so instead of loosing money they just ripped-off most of the artists.

at this moment we can not say for sure that they are criminal organizers... imho. i mean it is maybe too early to judge. maybe they are 'only' very unprofessional...
true that these flight ticket issues are weird enough and ofcourse i also do not suggest any artists to go unless they got their advance or flight tickets.
but
we do not know the full story yet, do we?

One of the guys in the organizer team can not go back to Hungary because he is wanted by the police there. That seem quite criminal to me.
And it is very naive to think that it is "only" a unprofessional organizer when so many artists "suddently" dont have tickets or their advances as promised. I have spoken with people who are deep inside the Bulgarian scene and trust me when I say that these Macedonian/Hungarian organizers are no better than those that did XPO 2002 running away with all the Festival money.
The bottomline is that no one should stand up for an organizer who clearly take advantage of the Bulgarian hospitality and make so many honest Bulgarians work hard for him while he makes a fake lineup and clearly is out to cheat people for money.
I do know the story from inside. I have dealt with the same organizer myself.
Btw he does not answer his phone anymore for anyone. |

Yo TrippyJohnny I would hold your horses right now if I was u. I was one of the artists in the XPO2002 and I personally know those that arranged it. It was a fiasco because very little ppl came to the event and a lot of money was invested + killer storm that broke the whole main stage. Ofcourse that when the organizers realized they are going to loose heeps of money they cancelled some artists after 2 days of festival but I can understand that in a way. Unless u have a qualified source that can confirm that someone ran away with a bag of money from that festival, u r doing a very dirty thing here calling those ppl thieves. Maybe not very good in promotional area but definitely not thieves.
I would not compare this to this Tchamla thing that looks like a big joke in the first place
