Maybe I'm getting the 303 Boomstar instead.

The 303 sounds great from the demos, but then I thought the same about the SEM.

Actually its was the Arp demos I heard and thought it was the SEM. So yeah Arp and 3003 are the ones I dig.

How much did the SEM version cost by the way?

700 Euros I paid.
Really hope it's just the SEM which sounds flat.

damn 700 is a great price.. moog was best to me but you have phaty.. check sample of 303 and arp.. arp is more bread and butter i think..and if i m not mistaken it s based on a moog filter but could be totaly wrong on this..

from the demos these synths seems to do agressive leads good but soft mellow stuff ? havent heard any soft demo

Well I found the solution for its dull sound eventually.
And that was by adding quite a bit of resonance, while cutoff fully opened.
Thing is the resonance is hardly audible, but it does brighten up the overall sound.
I'm liking it much better than I previously did, however I'm mostly using its lp filter and not so much the hp or bp.

4075 and 3003 sound good in that example to me
