have anyone heard the compilation that came out of soulseek records?

i heard its one true briliant example why sharing can go further to positive thing, i recomend all my friends who aint released yet, to put their music there for free download's till they will be more fixed on their music direction or will be into contracts.

I personally never had a problem to spread my music around.
It's quite crappy music, i know. But i'm pretty sure that if i had something better i'd share it as well.
I just accept the bitter truth that there is no money in the psychedelic trance.
It has better sides to it and it has worse sides.
For me music is a hobby, a good way to spend money and time.
It's like biking. I have friends that invest thousands of shekels in their bikes but never see any money in return.
I know it's a lousy example but that's what i feel.
I'm sure that the great and the talanted artists will survive (kchhm kchmm Simon Posford, Infected Mushroom) and all the hitch hikers will realize that it's not a place to get the money.
And btw, i buy albums, but i prefer to prelisten before. High quality.
If they are good, i buy them. As simple as that.
Last week i bought Juno Reactor's Shango.
A classic album that i just had to buy. And also Violet Vision's latest. Both of them were prelistened thanks to the modern pirating technology.
Sorry artists/label owners/dj's whatever.
I like to have free rides before i actually buy.
Good luck and may the best win.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

This is the main point here....I have tons of mp3 cds...tons of music I downloaded from filesharing programs...and most of the compilations and albums I have on them I also have an original cd because after hearing the mp3 I decided that I want to buy it...I cannot just get online and listen to 2 minutes of samples and then decide that I like something and buy it...I remember some compils that I downloaded and started to like them after hearing them for the 10th time...and I remember getting some album that I thought was gonna be fantastic and then it turned out that I hated it...that's why I have mp3s...When I look at my mp3 collection I see tons of music I listened to maybe once...and now it just collects dust...so what's the harm in that download if you end up not liking it in the end...

and when you look at all those people who download massive amounts of mp3s and refuse to buy originals...I think most of them do it just so they can say how big a collection they have...when you download everything it's impossible to keep track of the scene and listen to it all...since there's just so many stuff being released...in any case I think that file sharing programs are not the biggest problem of this scene           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records

Have you ever considered that a guy who build weapon, made it beacause he wanted to protect someone ?

To protect someone from what ? other weapons made by other people who also wanted to protect somebody ???

This is how we obtain the escalation of Violence, CyberPunk... simple as that.

I'm quite surprised to read someone here 'understanding' the reason-why of the weapons...

But this is

To answer to Dovla : Have you deleted all these "files" that U begun to 'hate' ?

Pavel has got a good point, linking with something that has already been discussed a lot on this forum... The ammount of releases nowadays... Every week we have a basket full of new "Killa" stuff... and MOST of them should never have been released if U ask me.. simply because it is way too much weak stuff...

So a kind of Natural Selection will occur... and the deserving musicians will be able to go on creating Music, while the others will just have to choose something else to do... and forget about their fantasies of easy life full of girls, charras, success and so on. Because these people imho think about this first before thinking about the Essence of Music.

Now, some might answer me about labels close down like Flying Rhino... I felt so sad especially about the FR Freestyle, but "after all" it is the lost of a 'concept'... I mean the musicians are still able to create Music and be released.. it's up to them to pass trough a sad period, 're-generate' and then create once again, perhaps (in best cases) with more ripeness...

Have a nice sunday

And I am really suprised to read here that you've decided that I am "corrupted by black intentions". And that without knowing me as a person. I will repeat it once more: Don't judge.           -=Lead System Designer=-

Instead of looking at soulseek users as criminals i see them as audiance. potential audiance.

SOME of e.om is released free on the net and i use soulseek to get people to know it - market penetration, it is called

so, in any thing u might find good things to use for your own development. right - i might be fucked by people DL my printed music - but at the same time i might get some more potential buyers that would not even know my music with out soul seek, in the jungel of crapy printed releases!

so lets stay optimistic and try to c the good opportunities in this mess.
industry changes, we should change with it - or stay behind!

U can be very proud of what U are doing, my friend.. but I just hope that one day U'll use your skills for anything else than military supplyings..

I wish U could use them for exemple for house automation or energy recycling..

And by the way, I was using the term in a very 'rudimentary' way... It was really not a personal attack against your person. U're after all not like Mr. Uzi for exemple...

cheers..           .

If tomo i write a book on murder mystery ...some tom dick or harry reads it and performs a murder as my book directs

Common i aint responsible for the freakin murder .....go catch the murderer who comited the crime

I understood the whole scenario Cyber Punk n i totally agree wid you           I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, its a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do,and that enables you to laugh at lifes realities
