A strange question on behalf of an artist....

now off topic but I've often wondered how the creator (he was alone from what I understood) of the software is thinking... I mean there must be a lot of pressure, many things... I'm just wondering what can be happening in his mind..

Does he feel somehow guilty, or does he truely have the feeling of being doing Music a good turn..

things like that..           .

Common, let this programmer alone, it is not his fault !!!
Should Alber Einstein feel guilty because he had discovered nuclear energy ?

Shold the owner of the factory feel guilty if some jerk used a knife made on that factory for a murder ???           -=Lead System Designer=-

some of the guys from manhattan project felt really guilty after they realized what they had done..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Well you can't really compare things like that. There's a big difference between a factory owner and a murder comitted in his factory (what a stupid example anyway...lol) and a guy that sit down a code a program that will enable people to connect to other people's computers for sharing files.... He must be the biggest moron if he thought that his program would not be used to share music and software.... And no moron is able to code a program!

The factory owner did not build a factory so people could kill eachother there!

And Einstein is not to be blamed for the wrong use of atomic energy.... By the way it was a Danish cientist named Niels Bohr that discovered how to split atoms.

Elysium, about the factory you didn't get the example right(or I didn't express myself in a right way). I mean why the man who made a knife, should be blamed if somebody used that knife not for cooking but for something else.

Now, about the programmer. Once, there was a problem to get some webspace for free without traffic limitation(actully this problem still exists), and if for example you want to share with your friends a movie from your wedding (about 200 MB) you have a problem... And a simple solution to your problem is to use one of the "File Sharing" software. So, don't blame that programmer. Do you really think (and may be you can prove ?) that he was writting that software and was thinking about how will ppl use it ???

One more example: if I will make a copy of a CD and will mail this CD to my friend with FedEx, so FedEx is to be blamed for illegal copying ???

Give me a break.           -=Lead System Designer=-

Legally he is responsible.... like it or not !

And believe me it does not take much of his brain to know that people will use it for something (illegal) else than sharing wedding video's..... come on how stupid do you think we are?

Still think your example with the factory is way of the topic.

2 Elysium Project:

I really don't understand how can you decide for other people what they were thinking.

From what you are writing here I can understand that you are actually saying that the engineer which develops weapon systems should be responsible for the killing of the people ???           -=Lead System Designer=-

I am not deciding anything... All I say is that I find it very hard to believe that he did not know that people would use it for other things than legal acticities.

And again no matter what you believe he is legal responsible.

That is exactly the matter, he is NOT legal responsible.
How can one be responsible for other ppl actions ?           -=Lead System Designer=-
