multiple mega apologies man! i was TOTALLY not talking about you in my post (although i can see how it looks that way)... i was correcting the 30'000 euro bit & then my frustrations took over

the bootlickers i was referring to was the people that told me how uncool it was & how they were gonna speak up when they got back online...

i repeat: i did not mean to include you in my bitching session

i also understand that it was a logistical nightmare for hilla & co. i just object to human beings being pushed into the background for the sake of avoiding footing the bill.

i am happy & grateful that SOMEBODY took it upon themselves to organize (using the term loosely ) such a big event.

i remain unimpressed with their response to all the problems that occured.

so i am gonna shut up about all this, as it was not my intention to start a huge debate.

in love & light

i will agree that it was a new level of inhumanity etc...
being only a number. and one does need an interface in the organization that is willing to sort things out.
and it is always a drag to have to play hard-ball and not just be able to ask something nicely one time.
since i lost no gear and got my flight. (i played free like many) i was mostly focusing on the line-up and all the people and how some people played twice etc...
and to be honest i was venting my frustrations mentally at the "big names" and thinking them wankers...

i do see where the organizers are responsible for the overall situation a booked artist is brought into...
in this case things were a bit rough.
i think most of the organizational efforts went into the local interfaces and getting in good with the officials etc...
perhaps the artist side was taken for granted somewhat?
i do look forward to hearing what the final result is for all the damaged artists equipment. this is a good litmus perhaps...
i don't think you are being bothersome Ajja to mention your legitimate issues.
i think the overly happy tone you note in many peoples posts relate to the overuse of mdma and the underuse of the mind perhaps... cmon look at their "musical favorites"...
in the big festivals i'm used to the psychedelic being under-represented. i thought it was cool they even bothered to include other things besides full on and guitar trance...
i was very happy to see a lot of friends from all over.
in the future i would like to see festival organizers denote spots for preregistering a group camp- where many people can meet at a pre-appointed place and camp togehter.... maybe even make it like a theme camp with decor etc... like burning man...
its always kinda weird to say "hi man, bye man" to someone you haven't seen in 5 years and can't find his camp and you just walk by each other sometime...

i have ZERO respect for the indigo kids... yes, it was chaos & mayhem - but if it would have went well they would have happily accepted all the profits. i find it unacceptable that they washed their hands of all the problems that were created by their lack of foresight & the stage collapsing.

i am also a bit shocked at the general response on the net from artists & partygoers. yes, it was an amazing party in spite of all the problems - but i don't think it was due to the indigo kids. any gathering in honour of one of mother natures most splendiferous spectacles - would be a blast no matter what the circumstances.

but if i read the reports - i wonder if we were all at the same festival. or maybe this is where the politics of future bookings come into play?

The most amazing thing at the festival was not the music, artists or eclipse - it was the crowd.
If you made eye contact with anybody no matter who, you always recieved a big honnest smile and a greating.
People came from all over the world to enjoy and that's exactly what they did.
I've never seen such big ammount of good vibes and energy in my whole life, it was amazing...           {0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-

What an amazing experince an organizers nightmare !!

The music was amazing just wished they had been a little better keeping us informed on who was playing when ( the boards by the bar were only very loosely stuck to ) , Still managed to see some amazing acts :

TICON
STAR SOUND ORCHESTRA
TOTAL ECLIPSE
ESKIMO
ASTRIX
FATALI
POP STREAM
PIXEL
DOMESTIC

There were loads of acts we missed due to not knowing who was when but what we saw what always amazing. There were some technical hic cups and some frustrated looks on the artists faces at times but otherwise we had an amazing time. The weather , when it wasnt raining , was smashing and the day of the eclipse was magical !! The vibes from the people was unreal when the eclipse hit and halucinogen and atomic pulse were awesome during the event.

The stage collapsing was a realy sad and unfortunate event and i really am sorry to the artists whos equipment was smashed we were campled right next to the stage and were in our tent when it came down and were just happy noone was hurt but the sight of all that smashed equipment was heartbreaking

On a personal note i dont think ill be going to a Indigo Kids party again though ---- to the people who put up with all the hardships: to party with you was a pleasure

and ......if anyone in the know who would be so kind as to post a lineup for the 7 days it would be really appreciated

ok, I admit that i got to the place only on thursday evening, couldn't get more time off work. so i won't let the eclipse itself be a factor in my reviews.

i totally agree with all that shahar said about the event and I'd like to say a great effort by the team especialy rebuilding the stage. the major problem i had was the fact that the lineup (changed or unchanged) was organised very badly. there was no order in most of the DJ/live acts, too much politics that got to be more important then the right order of playing. and the biggest shame was the fact that alot of the artists weren't taken care of properly, noone picked them up from the airport, noone accompanied them and aranged all their needs, sorry but in an event this large and with such a financial gain more could have been done on this front.

You are so right about the line ups and the taking care of the dj-s because from what j know some of them weren't even taken from the airport and not to talk about "accomodation" and smoother things

12am midimiliz or was it spiralienz?
1am ocelot
2am jellyheadz
3am penta
sometime like 5-6 am was absolum and cpu

2nd night

sunset (i think it was this night) ticon

1am grapes of wrath
2am texas faggot ?
3am kindzadza
4am mechanikka

day of eclipse

simon posford right before and atomic pulse right after.

parahalu at 1am i think
naked tourist sometime early morning

somewhere i remember infected wanking away followed by digital talk followed by azax syndrome
there was some kinda barrier at that point that had been set up in front of the main stage- reminded me of a rock concert- there were even security standing arms folded in front of it. rumor has it this was due to a flying peice of cheese hurled at one of the performers sometime prior but i shall not spread rumors that may be completely bullshit.
i met many people of all sorts and enjoyed a generally good vibe.
garbage on the ground was a bit of a bum trip this is usual but still worth mentioning.
i like that they did stereo sound and not this surround-4-speaker-"ga Dunk ga Dunk" setup commonly found on large festivals. (smearing the kick all over the place and generating accidental samba rhythms in the music. next time i play on one of those systems i want to calculate the distance between the speaker stacks, check out the ring where most people are standing within, figure 3 milliseconds per meter and figure out the bpm of the delay and play WITH it...hehehheh)
but i digress

OHhoHhoijaa what a blast we had! Aahhahahaaaaaa! Thanks to most smiling, full power no shower 24 - hour people!! Supa. Hypa. Es gut. Day almost Ibiza party bounce it baby with the pokopoko(c) 16note bassline with most very supa scary fx thing at night! Not only though. But with acid, vodka, beer and others everything`s nice to swallow!!

Yes, there was some waiting with the buses, incredible circumstances few times at the very famous artist camp area (we and TF left our tents there cause they looked like that) and when it was raining heavily, all of the guerilla shit came down there from the hill.
At least there was pretty quiet when for some not much seen reason you wanted to sleep.

So, a true interrail tent festival for us, like thousands of others. Boooom. Food and drinks were a bit more expensive than thought, ok selection and not much tap queues luckily though. Not to mention the variety of other mind refreshers.

"Pretty" strong sound system and great lights and laser, says eraser.

Thanks to you mademoiselle gazelle (hmm) and others who survived to our sunrise set with most extreme conditions indeed! And you two crazy israeli guys who seemed to have a pretty special blast! And to you Jeremy from stage of your comments! And if anybody knows a guy with an ancient english warrior helmet dancing in a 50 cm "lake", tell him that he will get our cd free!!

bomm pepe and just to let you other crazy stompers know, we also were thinking a few times that if the huge finnish flag was the truth afterall heeheeh, but what`s done is done. And it was fun! And it was HUGE! And people from many countries wanted to buy it !! And yes, mr Traveller, it was there hanging most high (hmmm what about the music mr DJ?)on every finnish gig.

And yes, our playing time was switched like 10 hours before playing twice from 1am to 3am to 6am for some other players flight schedules.. Of course that was not too manly to wonder about the situation when people where asking it, of course that fucking sucked baaaadd, but then again, it was a huge organizational event with number wise incredible lineup.. And incredible surroundings. And the people, just great people gathering!!!

Eraser- thanks for the review! Very nice to see a trance artist that still enjoys parties! Your set was great and nobody cared shit for hard conditions- not me for sure

And Hellios- you weren't even there, right? So why you go and pollute this thread? They didn't let you on the line up? Old Greek-Turkish animosity? Stomach problems? What's your story? Take your bad vibes and go swim in them somewhere else. Unreal.
