Totally agree with you here, Abatwa! Well said.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

really great production style, but to me it's an album more for listening at home properly than for playing at a party!

The things I really liked here are the huge diversity between the tracks, the different (and well told) story in every single track and of course the superb sound production.
That's for sure one of the most significant releases in the last months (if not in the whole psy history). Of course there are tracks which I like more than the other - 4!!, 5!!, 6 & 9
Some of you mentioned that "Game & Watch" sounds like Deedrah. That's exactly the first thing which appeared in my head when I heard that track for first time. The bassline in this track is very similar to Deedrah's "Land of freedom 2001 mix". It's not that surprising since Deedrah remixed Son Kite in the CDS so maybe it's some kind of remix (or rework haha i don't know and it's not that important).Anywat both tracks are great
"Let Us Be" is another highlight for me - maybe the best track in the album - great percussion work, great melodies and also the bassline and the vocals sound perfect in my ears. This is exactly the track I waited for a LONG time (not from Son Kite but generally). Some elements here reminds me of Ticon's "Some simple sounds".
"The stars within us" - dunno why most of the ppl say that T4 is the most powerful track in the album. I find T6 to be much mor powerful than "Game & Watch". Total dancefloor stormer, but in the same time filled with feeling and emotion.
The last track - "Colours" - that's for sure one of the best final tracks I've ever heard.
Softer and smoother, but extremely trippy. Unfortunately the album ends here maybe theu shouldn't put such a beautiful track here. I just want to continue this trip, not to start it again.
The other tracks are also pretty good, but I rather prefer the "non-typical" tracks. It's always nice to see an artist not just exploring new areas, but doing it even better than their "typical" style.

9/10 for "Colours" and great respect

And Seb & Marcus - your live in Sofia (BG) was FANTASTIC one of the very best parties in my life.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments ... you can't imagine how long we've been waiting to get some feedback on this work and after isolating yourself in the studio you have a great hunger to hear what people actually think about what you're doing.

If you're interesting to read what people, not active in this forum, think about the colours album please check the Colour post on the promotional section where I’m adding them when I get them.

Take care and hope that the album grows...

Track 6's guitar rifts at the beginning and around 4:30 sure sound a lot like The Cure's
"Prayers for Rain".... Good stuff!!!

Better late than never

It’s not every day that Son Kite release an album. In fact, it’s been three years since Perspectives of... This is actually the second out of a series of four releases called Coloursan read all about it, as well as the other things, in their latest interview for Isratrance) . The first was On Air CDS and this album will be followed by a DVD and another single.
In trance music, three years is A LOT of time. During that time the whole trance scene was changed almost completely. Have Son Kite changed along with it? Read on.

Slowly building itself, the first track (Other Side) presents a very open sound, even more than the Son Kite we’re used too. The rhythm flows gently, constantly evolving, with new elements all the time, until it stops… and starts again. The feeling is circuital, yet it isn’t boring at all. Smoothly and naturally, moving to the second track (Focus), which is actually a second opener. It seems like this album needs a massive introduction. It combines magical and trippy sounds together with some hard and twisted sounds, presented towards the end. Now we are surely ready for the journey. On Air (T3) was already released the single. I must say the listening experience is a bit different than listening to it as a single track and not as a part of a complete album. It’s an important and inseparable part of the story and the build. The general feeling until now is always climbing upwards, and when you reach up, it’s UP, and you feel it. The next track (Games and Watch) is really interesting. It’s actually Son Kite’s version of full on music. Still, it’s much less aggressive than most Full On releases today and definitely has the Son Kite touch all over it. A rolling, pumping bassline that almost makes my headphones shake. Games and Watch (T4) could be very powerful, if played at the right time. It truly captures the power that full on can provide. The melodies give me a feeling of tiny, short explosions in my head, and that’s a good thing. Stepping up to the fifth part of the journey, Let Us Be, which gets right into business, a female vocal, a heavy duty bass and a repetitive percussion loop catch the ear right away. After hearing the first four parts, we are well prepared. Gradually, more and more layers are manifested. In my mind, it creates a combination of both this track and other sounds from the previous tracks. It just blends together in harmony. Moving on to the peak of journey- The Stars Within Us (T6). Starting right away with a massive bassline, tightly synced percussion and vocals used correctly and effectively. Personally, this one makes me jump higher and higher every time. From this point on, the aim is downwards. A journey without a proper ending is not a journey at all, and so the ending begins. Jukebox (T7) is very easy to identify. A guy simply says “DJ” all the time, and makes you wonder what the hell it’s all about. However, when this track is played and you are dancing you would surely not stop and think, you will make it your own special experience and imagine whatever you like. Suffice it to say, that this “DJ” sample is not the only original sound on this track. Made to Move (T8) is indeed a huge mover on a more housey accord this time. Plain joy for the feet and the mind. And here we are- Colours (the last track). We hear some familiar sounds, the sounds that started the album. This creates a special circular feeling and arouses the short term memory, makes me think about what I’ve been going trough in the last 78 minutes. I don’t know about you but I am certainly not the same person I was 78 minutes ago. Soft, flowing and proper ending.

Recomendation: As a reviewer, it’s usually very hard for me to describe the differences between each track in a particular album, to decide which adjective I should utilize to each of the tracks. This time, however, I had no problem at all- the words just dripped out of my fingers to the keyboard. Each track is distinctive, produced in its on special style, I can almost say each track represents a certain color, although this is not the initial aim. Needless to say that the production, the packaging and the cover are all excellent and well-invested.
Favorites: all!

Well, I didn't have much time to write lately, but better late than never.

Excellent album from Son Kite. Full of emotion, everything sits together tightly, feels like it is one album and not just a collection of tracks, the variety, the diversity, the range of styles/bmps/sounds is a joy.

It is a bit on the soft side of things.

Groundbreaking? maybe not musically, but definitely in the boldness of trying to break formulas and expectations and melt together so many things.

Favorites: 3, 4, 5(!!), 6(!), 8.

As for the last remark. I feel there's so much love put inside the music here. Dunno what you're talking about.           ---------------------------------------------
