1st August 2008!

This one is a mission to get to: seems like the best spot weather wise is north western China, the other side of the Gobi desert and Mongolia ... place called Hami-Yiwu area.

Unlikely anyone going to get a psy festival together, so why not roll our own

we all bring a small piece of kit, and the total will be greater that the sum of the parts.

Problem is it's the Olympics from the 9th August but I think this is all far away from the action, and China has a good rail network. One could be out of there by that time, still have to work out the route there ... but time no on our side in terms of bookings to get there.

Anyone with more info? or ideas?

You'll be able to look at this perfect event in Altay in Russia also for a long time in Nijnevartovsk when full Solar Eclipse will be 2.27 minutes.I know about intresting plans connecting with festivals wich want to make at that time there

Yea I am open to the Russian option! although the weather predictions are not as good as the place I mentioned in China but what the funk I would rather go to somewhere where there is a gathering of the tribe. The further south of the track in Russia the better the prospects of less cloud from what I can gather so Novosibirsk is a good option

It looks like there is good psy trance scene there in Russia: I always look at the pics of the parties there posted here on the gallery - and they all look like awesome parties.

yes, you rigth absolutely about russia! we, Space of joy Community, are in Altay now. Just find a place for next year festival here. it is beautiful wide valley at Katun river coast in Mountain Altay.
now we think to make all agreements with local goverment, police and people, to make this festival place a save area for us.
we know that here ll be a lot of festivals, psy trance also, and we are glad about this!!
