indeed a great Album (psychedelic or not), it took me a while to get it but this is great artist album with veraity of styles and of course great production.
at least its diffrent, you need to listen to this album few times that you discover more and more great vibes.

just finished listening to it 3 times on repeat!
great production as always from shpongle....but have to say that the first 2 had more emotion and feeling in them.

really just another psy-world-ethno-ambient album. I'd prefere the Entheogenic album (Chillcode), although both are to 'psy' (yeah right) for me. |

sorry my english is poor...
Nothing Last is the best Shpongle album and one of the best _psychedelic_ album in my life.
It is not really ambient (because not to good to hear as background music, no longer parts, need some concentration) but excellent (and varied) trip music.
I heard it about fifteen times and it is not became to boring. Incredible and brilliant.

and an offtopic question (sorry for this)...
I would like to order a Shpongle T-Shirt or sweatshirt.
Can you recommend a online shop, where I can order it?
Psyshop is not good for me unfortunately, because they send all stuffs without (mail) insurance, and the irresponsible hungarian mail service stolen my order in february  (
Twisted site is not good for me too, because I sent a dozen e-mail to them but they not answer to me...and there is an error message, when I tried to order.
Can somebody advise a solution, online shop? I really need this stuff for a long time now.

nice one for sure. nothing new except a few new more asian oriented sounds and more latin flavour.
no climaxes no high and lows no dramas.
sure its sounds like shpongle and smells like it. but something just isn`t right. with the last two albums i put them on and i was blown away,swept of my feet out of my head and into the overtone... with this one its like listening to a regular chillout album with a shpongle taste to it.... don`t get me wrong its a good album and musically intresting as always from these brilliant guys.
but something is missing...

When it arrived the mail, and I was very exicted. I smoked a chillum, layed down on my sofa and listened to this – it didn’t really sound good at all. I turned it off somewhere near the middle. I planned on having a Shpongle 3 party this Saturday – but I don’t think I could play most of this for my friends and guests. My first impression: lots of off-centered noise with only a few nice moments.
Instead I think I will mix tracks from Cell – “Phonic Peace” , Phutureprimitive “SubConscious” , and Puff Dragon.
All of which are much, much, much more psychedelic and easier on the ears than this.

Very true, GIVE it a chance people (you must listen to it at least 10 times to say if it's good or bad).

I'll give it some more listens.
But I must say, 'having' to stop the CD halfway through (while stoned) was NOT the initial recation I anticipated from the new Shpongle. I am NOT going to play the whole thing at my chillout party, tomorrow night... becasue I'm fairly certian many of my guests would not enjoy it.
Do check out Phutuprimitive "SubConscious" (Waveform Records) if you want to hear the smooth, classic psy-dub sound ... I'm SURE it is better than "Nothing Lasts", from start to finish, for many people's taste... |

these two are my favorite
8. ...But Nothing is Lost Drifting through an ethereal soundscape.. the vibe I get off this one is uplifting, positive, optimistic, joyful. and to cap it off is a great Terence Mckenna sample "nothing is wrong, nothing is wrong, everything is on track."
9. when shall I be free? This is a true gem in my opinion.. reminds me of celtic cross style, a true psychedelic tune.
some of the other new tracks on the cd i'm not feeling as much. |

conceptual!?!?! what the conception is about? life and death?!...not that simple. An adrenaline journey in the Charon's boat along the Styx river to Erebus. You bought a round trip ticket!...
At the beginnig you have a feeling of drifting somewhere, so there is no beginning in this sense....But in the treacherous waters of Styx the flux is constantly changing....And it ends up in...But does it really end? you think...a curcuit of life and death never ends!
Adrenaline bursts out when emotional tension reaches its peak and then... like refreshing raindrops along your overheated spine..an acoustic guitar, a silver fluit or a soothing piano comes in...
....This is the musical narration about life, death and birth!
