Teaching is where it at.... if u want £

the rest should b for the enjoyment.. which is priceless....

and yes agreed, this world is wel and truly broken... not long now folks

will it ever b mainstream she says...

no,not until our governments wake the fuck up befor they fuck us up....

The only things that are there to make money are the fucks like simon cowel , that set up labels to make them money,,, they use ya .. its that same shit like TV mainstream artists are more entertainers than artists.. where as we more technicians then musicians,,,when it comes to certain stlyes anyways...

so i guess my point is... theres only room for the "Lucky Plugged in2 the system" type that make "famouse" shit for 5-12 year olds... ££££ polluting young mindz...

besides theres nuthin stopin u from using itunes......... or iz there

my hope fades day by day..im tierd of the fucks on this planet.... 2bh

i think cosmic circle dood sayin it true!
how i feel is,first u have to have the music.then find artists, labels who do the same , if your music is good, then they will communicate with it,generating interest, be friendly, and share the love,if your music is good!you will automatically be working harder, showcase your present form in its fullest expression possible in as many variations as possible,per-se genres.if the music is good!.the whole mass spectrum of like minded people should be picking it up,no matter what, share the love, grow, please yourself with intimate moments of solitude with the music, get along, the psyworld for that matter is small enough for the whole mass to pick up your sound.if it is good!work hard,, if you need help take from some marketing expert(or a ninja from your team, partner, brother, wife,,etcetc, give them 2 months assignment to help u with research n development specialiazing in the commercial operations),or let someone else think about it n take care of it,u jus do music, share the love.

99.9999% of today's labels are totally useless and in fact only hurt you by taking control of your music, sticking it on beatport and forgetting about it.

am actually in the process of trying to get all our music rights back from all the useless labels.

just saying

when people submit tracks to labels, they get rights over those tracks. they may have permanent and eternal rights over those tracks.

a couple years ago, a record deal was dream. but with time, more and more artists want to step away from labels. since everyone can easily sell music online now.
and everyone realized how low is the percentage they get on sales.

some labels are re-releasing old material without the artists consent.

a simple and affordable basic marketing:
get a good online presence. catchy profiles in social media, provide links to your stuff, do quality videos.
and of course, keep releasing new music constantly. not necessarily albums or eps, just singles.

I have been running a trance label for 4/5 years and sales have been falling year by year, now it is very difficult to make money from digital releases, especially as the label typically receives only 50-70p of the sale.
The only way to make a living from just psy trance is in bookings, but to receive a big enough fee you must be in top 50/100 artists globally and preferably live in a country that is not expensive i.e NOT UK.
Of course there is still money in releases with top artists charging £300+ per track, but for me the tracks they make are promotional tools for themselves allowing them to get big booking fees £1000+ with all expenses on top.
The dream of living from just music is not impossible but you have to be realistic, the market is very competive these days but if you stand out above the rest the money is there.           https://soundcloud.com/pro-gram-0

in my opinion psy fans don't just appear out of nothing, in hundreds or thousands at a time... unless you become known and play in several countries.

psytrance scene is not like house music. where internet numbers can create a fake hype for a producer.
psy fanbases tend to grow up naturally.

if you have 10k, with that kind of online following, if legit , you should be going pretty well, gig-wise!

PEOPLE = DONT CARE.. ultimately

(in the very long run of things)

a fan base that loves u like ya family does? caamon now folks...

a true psy mind knows really what normal people are about..... and they aint about shit other than an addition to a number to make u look good.... very rare ul get a true mind to the addition... the rest are like pogs

yep yep one may say,wel u would say thT WITH NOBODY KNOWING U ONLY JUST PLUGING YOUR SELF BACK INTO PRODUCTION..... BUT.. i would b saying the same thing with 1.5 k follwers coz to me only 4 of them would matter to me..

so cut the shit

it comes down to simply this -

when i smoked bongs with everyone, sucked everyones cock and talked about peace and love and wore sunshine t-shirts, i got gigs

when i stopped being a scenster and went into deep isolation of making music i stopped getting gigs. the funny thing is the music then sucked compared to the music now

its all up to you, if you enjoy the mingeling and bs, coupled with you being good, you will get shows. if you sit at home and make music, the internet fanbase by itself is not likely to produce results for you unless you get really massive amounts of people to just buzz around you, or a label that is run by someone that actually has some sway gives you a chance (and yeah i still believe in both scenarios, keep the path).

i do care, but not like on a level that it will influence if i continue making music or what type. am actually to a point where am content and thankful for just making music, and the world be dammed

van gogh was pretty much the village idiot and poor and cut his ear off for his art, so who are we have fun and make amazing tunes and let the bs go

my 2 cents

Cream rises and shit stinks. So do a great job consistently, be nice to people, be professional, network as much as you can (in real life WAY more important than online), and if it's meant to happen it will. Persistence is all.

Make the people forget about the new world order with the sound of the brave new world...
Use the sound-technics of it, sound development, uniqueness, commericial strategy, commercialization...

Or...
Maybe at the end its a balancing act between last comment of faxi and the last comment of babaluma...
