The festival was stopped on the second night at midnight...

The festival went on fine the first day.. first night.. the second day and on second night the cops stopped it.

Some one called the Ministry and told that it is a drug festival.. first round of police came.. did the whole check.. they found nothing.. then the police reported to the district office that there is nothing...

Then the force from Ministry was so big the area in-charge of Kavrey district him self had to come.. he came with two truck with 60 cops..

The music was still going on.. Buda went and had whole conversation with the area in-charge.. showed them all the permissions that we have to run the festival..

Then the in-charge again did the whole check.. checked all the tents.. they did not find anything.. NOTHING.. then.. they told Buda.. that the pressure is so big from the Ministry .. that they have to stop the party..

then they gave us a choice.. that they came to arrest every one one in the party but since they found nothing.. they can not arrest any one.. so.. they asked us to stop the music till seven in the morning.. and we can start again.. in the morning.. and organizers had to go to the Ministry to talk and sign some papers (which ones I still wonder coz we had them all)..

Then.. the police left.. after that Buda got really stressed out.. coz he made every thing possible with the locals and authorities to make this fest to happen and was soo happy that everything was great and people were enjoying.

Buda had heart problem before .. He was in a hospital couple of months before.. for severe heart attack..

He got so stressed out and he got heart attack right after the cops left and he lost his life ..

We were suppose to start the fest at 7 in the morning again.. but we dint do any thing after this sad incident..

Who ever used this force against us.. was some jealous cunt.. they used all their force.. any ways.. some one lost his life because of their jealousy.. Karma gets everyone..

RIP BUDA.. you did everything and you were happy till the end of your life... u lived your life full power.. We know u are in a better place.           https://soundcloud.com/aseem-2

this made me realise how weak and prone we r to these external influences, must have a collective that combines and shields and protects from all external energies and influences, but truthfully the divine cannot be influenced at all, it should be untouchable. but again sad news mang, kripa rakhna maa

malice n wonderland was an amazing morning treat on a truly serene venue ... !!

my condolences to family n frnds f Deepesh ... may his soul R.I.P.

n those cops even peeped at our tents while checking n only to their sheer disappointment, they found 5-6 of us not doing so called "drugs" but just trying to light some camp-fire so that v can warm up for what was an amazing night to follow with KT/Enichkin/Cannibal Crow/Electrypnose/Nueromotor .....

absolutely no sympathy 4 whoever used such kind of negative forces ...

The Experience & The Future
THE EXPERIENCE

Greetings everyone.

We hope everybody is back to their usual self and back to the daily routines of life. We like to take this moment, to thank each and everyone who attended Shanti Jatra Organic Festival. The dancers, the artists, deco crew, volunteers, the production crew, the amazing vibe, the happy villagers and shamans who were an integral part of the gathering. This to us, by far was the best edition that we put up keeping in mind many aspects of a festival. We had given employment to over 200 people from the village and promoted their local practices (shamans and others) and their art. This was well received by them and from the experience, we felt that this was also well received by all the people who took part in the festival. They were extremely happy with the support.

We also feel that musically this was also the most diverse gathering we had to offer. For the time it lasted, we saw the amazing vibe across the dancefloor area and how people were enjoying the music with the breathtaking valley view as the backdrop. We hope that we have satisfied everyone with the music on 2 stages, the shaman area and all other activities present at the festival.

It was extremely disappointing for us to stop the music on the 2nd night. We would like to let you know that the pressure was so high from the ministry that the police mentioned to us that they have no option but to ask us to stop it. Inspite of them being so cooperative and providing security to the festival, there were other forces which were quite adamant on stopping this gathering, inspite of us having all necessary permissions in place. Else they would have been forced to take action and shut down the entire thing. They had asked the crew to meet them in the morning and put across certain things and continue the music in the morning. The sudden death of Deepesh (who was so integral in the whole production of the festival) made things even more complicated, as that would mean that the media would be taken by surprise completely and the next immediate step that would follow was to arrive at the festival with their whole team and the police force, which is not good for te festival at all. Hence, keeping in mind your safety (our top priority) we had arranged for everybody to evacuate the site. The tension and the anxiety and also being a heart patient, did not help Deepesh in this cause and this led to his demise. This was probably the most difficult and heart breaking situation of our life, to be in the midst of both. But we believe that we did this in the best interest of the people.

We are also extremely happy the way people conducted themselves. Being aware about the use of banned substances and such, definitely helped, as that is why the police could not even shut down the festival, as that was the only thing they came to look for, and more so, to even forcefully find somebody and plant that on them to shut the event down. So we are glad that the people did not overdo anything at the event and we advise everybodyy to keep it that way, and to respect laws and regulations. Having said that, the media as always is just wanting to blow things out of proportion. They obviously will never see the good side, but always focus on the negative things. They are more aware of the events in Nepal now than before as we discovered that through some conversations. What happened to us could happen else where as well. We advise everybody to keep this in mind and to conduct themselves in a rightful manner.

THE FUTURE

We are always evolving. And hence this edition was exactly meant for that, as we opened our ideas and thoughts to infuse many styles of music and activities. Unfortunately, it did not last long.
Over the 3 years, we lost 2 of our very dear friends and key planners of the event, which is a huge loss for us more than anything. This is quite demotivating in its nature. But the vision of these two people was to make it large with the right vibe. Hence, we will try to keep it going. So what is the future? We do not exactly yet. But yes, it would partially mean that the nature of the event or this gathering will be slightly different and on a larger scale. We did build the platform over the last 5 years. But things change and it is to move on. We are always on the lookout for new ideas and presentations. And this is what will come out in future. It could have commercial aspects/interests, which may not please everybody, but we hope that you would respect our decision, and continue to support as you have done these many years. What we will strive to give as always, is the vibe!
The concept could be new, an amalgamation of different lifestyles and practices. But you can be sure that, we will keep the spirit alive !! The memory of our lost ones is something that will keep us going.
We hope that you will join us in this new leaf of life. This is the time we need your support the most.
We belive that you will continue to do so. Till next time!!

We will be back!!!
