Hi orgs, need a little help ...we are about 9-10 ppl from india and all of us are reaching nepal on sunday 9th in 3 different groups .... we plan to stay in thamel only .... need a meeting point where we can meets on sunday night as some of us would reach late at night around 10..... just wanted to check if tantra bar would be open ??? or any other place that would be open till late night ...
  Ppl with gUns don`t understand!!!

^^^as far as i know tantra bar is closed down....
the best place for you guys to meet up would be Student Guest House its at the enterance of Thamel so its easy to find n its open till late...
But you could get better info frm the orgs...

"DREAMTIME EARTHBEAT" hosted by SALIL
There are 6 events that takes place in this dreamtime during the First
the Second Day of the festival. EarthBeat is the theme of such works
curated and performed by the Nepali artist Salil Kanika. He is invited
to Shanti Jatra to bring this spectrum and diversity of 'organic'
subjects and live actions in which everyone becomes a participant,
contribute and take back with them a rich experience of colour, music,
organic elements and a lifeforce to communicate positive ideas and
community spirit to where they started their journey from.

LAND
The border crossing at Sunauli is the most common route by land to Nepal.
You could reach Sunauli by taking an overnight bus from Delhi, or via train to Gorakhpur and a bus from there to Sunauli.
From Sunauli there are overnight buses regularly to Kathmandu.
Delhi - Gorakhpur - Sunauli - Kathmandu
If you are travelling from Kolkata, you can take a train to Siliguri, and from there a bus to the border Panitaki or New Jalpaiguri, from where there will be buses to Kathmandu.
The other and shorter route is to take a train from Howrah in Kolkata to Raxaul and from Raxaul > Birganj > Kathmandu by bus.

VISA
Indian nationals do not need a visa to enter Nepal.
All other foreign nationals do require a visa. However, the visa is obtainable on arrival at Thribuvan International Airport.
Accomodation and F&B

The festival ticket entitles you with camping space. We advise you to carry your own tents. However, there are also be limited tents on rent, which shall be announced on our website shortly.
There will also be adequate toilet and shower zones.
Organic food will be the key at Shanti JAtra. Various stalls along with different cuisines suitable for everyone shall be present at the event.

is ghreg on earth confirmed for this festival? all i wanted to see was ghreg live! but someone told me he aint cause of some bull,i hope that is not true.

We are delighted to let everyone know that SJOF will be extended for ONE MORE NIGHT!... So more music and more fun!!!!
The festival will now officially go on till 14th morning.

aw mang, tooo bad about ghreg, i was itching to hear his new album,which i hear is awesome!, anyway what's done is done,, alien mental nice add!and crazy lion cult , nice!even tho this lineup is nice colourfull bouncy one, still would have loved to have heard some big names from all the styles,not only 1,but still looking forward to chk some of the artists,, catch all u freaks on the floor
