It seems to me that most people here think that (almost) every artist in this scene is trying to copy someone else in terms of musical style or delivery.

Forget the copycraps for a second and try to give me an example of what you believe is truely unique psychedelic trance. Stuff that holds itself high above the level of cut copy paste.

Lets everybody share who we think is Unique.

I'll start:

Artifakt

This South African sensation really does it for me. Noone else imHo infuses as much creativity into a 9 minute audio story.
Don't believe me? Left Foot, Right Foot should change ur mind.
Want to go all the way back? Sex n Death was and still is a GEMMM !

who's next ?

ps - if you disagree with someone's claim, please quote the artist name and give your reasons below.... lets try n keep the thread civil..... & open

Etnoscope is pretty different from others.
Haltya is very different. There are others that attempt this type of sound (maybe 1 or 2 acts, hehe), but I have never heard anyone achieve it so well.           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

Shpongle. People have tried to copy them, but never succeeded in reaching the same quality.

And Juno Reactor.

IndiAlien, when I read the topic heading, Artifakt was the first person that came to mind!!!! Thank god for like minded people!!! I burst out laughing when I saw that, hehehhe!!

THANK YOU FOR POINTING THIS OUT! The man is genius, and Ive heard him play so many times and LOVE his creations!

Another artist that is a music genius: Ion (new album just released) The more I listen to his album, the more I'm impressed.           :: Life can be as bitter as dragon tears
But whether dragon tears are bitter or sweet
depends entirely on how each man perceives the taste ::

Well yesterday I was browsing through my collections of cd's in search for a particular track (which I still haven't found @#%!!), but anyway... I came across Cosmochaos - Trespasser, and smiled to myself about how different it was from all other cd's in my collection. It's in your face, dark, hard psytrance... I just love it...           To hell with reality! I want to die in music, not in reason or in prose. People don't deserve the restraint we show by not going into delirium in front of them.
