IndiAlien, when I read the topic heading, Artifakt was the first person that came to mind!!!! Thank god for like minded people!!! I burst out laughing when I saw that, hehehhe!!

You know what they say... 'great minds...'

Ur one lucky DG- i wish i could say i'd heard him play so many time

Artifakt needs to find his way to India... or maybe i should go to SA...

I'm really looking forward to hearing the Broken Toy album too... i think he's another producer who delivers a spankadelic-music-ride everytime with his own signature blend... Boom SA

Shulman

Hola again...
Ok, I really like Shulman's music.... In Search of a Meaningful Moment is a brilliant album, i've enjoyed hearing it many times... but everytime i listen to it i'd find myself thinking it reminds of Shpongle.
I remember someone once saying Shulman is Israel's answer to Shpongle... does anyone else think so?

Then again, chill psychedelic music is a difficult kind to make ur own unique style.
Shpongle is shpongle

The South African acts are unique as a whole!!

Individually, I would say SCORB produces my favorite unique sound right now.......

Goa Gil IS an artist. Ever heard of The Nommos?

But I think the best names in psy right now are...

Kindzadza, Fungus Funk, Entropy, Azax Syndrome, and Xenomorph. There are so many others, but those are a few that come to mind.

Deedrah has always been an innovative producer in my eyes. Dino Psaras, Man With No Name, Son Kite and Serge Souque likewise. Also Tristan, Human Blue, BLT, Xerox + Illumination and Beat Bizarre among many others.

P.S. Nice topic .

I'm sorry I might be stupid or blind but I can't find any similarities between Shpongle's music and Shulman.
Sure, there might be something similiar. but not like you described it, "when I listen to Shulman, I immediately think of Shpongle" imo it's not true. :/
