Wezzy you had a lot of negative replies in this post but i understand your position and i want to give you all my love and energy i know exactly were you stand and i fully approve your dream! It will become reality if you really beleive in yourself and in your dreams! I am the same as you and my dream is becoming reality the universe is helping me so much i hardly can beleive what a good life we can have on earth when you beleive in yourself and in your dreams! Reality is a dream come true!
Go for it wezzy i will meet you people one day for sure we are on the same frequency!

Sustainable communal living is a wonderful thing when it works out. Shame on all of you who have never done it and yet feel justified putting it down. Just like someone putting down drugs without having done them.
this condescension really irks me.. what have hippies ever done to you besides helping create the music you call Goa and distributing massive amounts of psychedelics to go with it?

Wezzy - you have my support! I really hope your project will work. Sometimes I dream about living in a community like that, too. It's clear that something needs to be done in order to save our world. Building a hippie village is not the final solution of course but one important step further. Let's all try to do our best! And let's not forget the only way to save our world in the end: love! Love, and especially love coming from non-dualism, is all the world needs. New technology has given us many nice things but I'd exchange them any day to a world with more selfless, loving people. |

I know saying the world is 'fake and plastic' may sound offensive to many people but come on - let's face it - Today almost everyone knows how to use a computer but still most people don't even know themselves. And some people call today's world "advanced"!
And now everyone gets angry at me crying "who the hell are you to say i don't know myself? everyone knows themselves!". Sigh. |

I agree with you MADMAN although I know my self quite well.
But a thing for sure is that:
PROGRESSION is REGRESSION and nowadays a large percentage of the world population lives in a TV STUDIO.
That's why I call it FAKE! |

I have read some amazing replies in Isratrance, but i honestly think that this one tops them all, God love, your good... Please i beg you write more... (the reason it's espcially good is because i have just been reading 6 pages, and this comment comes right out of nowhere, after so much melodrama and study of human nature  , suddently some one hits the hammer on the nail )

Before you read this post, imagine me smiling and speaking in a calm and friendly voice.
I'm sorry if you and wezzy feel you live in a 'fake and plastic' world.
The world I live in is a beautiful place, full of trees and hills and waterfalls and beautiful beaches. My world is populated by some really wonderful people and billions of other animals, all living out their lives in the way they've done for millions of years.
I know how to use a computer, and every day I use it to stay in touch with some wonderful friends in just about every corner of this beautiful planet.
Every day I know myself a little better. I'll never fully know myself because every day I grow slightly larger and more complex.
I'm happy to say I won't be coming to join you in your 'fake and plastic' world, because, frankly, it sounds like not a very nice place to be.
You are always welcome to join me in my blue, brown, and green world, with it's beautiful forests and mountains and oceans, full of diverse lifeforms and intelligence.

The world is magnificent and spectacularly beautiful, every time I travel I’m reminded of the goodness of people and come back with a feeling of hope for the planet. I also try to be one huge beacon of happiness and optimism when relating to the world ...
However, if you read in-between the lines, what he is actually saying is that we have gone one step forward in terms of technology, but two steps back spiritually. This would account for the extremely high suicide-rate in the west for instance and in comparison with Africa where the suicide-rate is virtually non existent (because when you are fighting for life, you are not thinking of killing yourself)... Many of the problems that people have in the wast, are really superficial and in truth unnecessary.
