Lolll Boxer...

..I agree with you, my friend... it´s the same with other remixes, you can see or listen some artists doing remixes from Megadeth, Nirvana... Dire Straits... Metallica..etc.. etc.. etc..
Some tracks are very nice and good, but...

Where is the imagination??? Be Creative!!! Why they don´t make Killer tracks with new elements...

So.. backing to the subject... why they make. rmx from rmx.. too?

Hehehehe...

Make UR OWN RMX!!!

hey A.
i agree that some remixes are'nt so different from the original and this is far less creative.
but, there are remixes that are completely different from the original track, the main idea of the track is kept but it becomes something else (a new track with a different style)...the remixer add in his uniqe style.
i'm not so involved in the "psy" remixes (it's not my area...) ...so i'm talking about other genres.
anyway......i don't think i need a headcheck, tnx.
peace,
ran.

It's not only guys making music Boxer !!! For the rest it entirely depends on the artist and what they make of it....I agree half of the rmx's nowadays don't even get close to the original....but then again some totally blow our minds.....and the idea of what Lankry puts down is for sure a nice idea to release a single-cd/12"....nothing against it....but the ones that get released should be good instead of most cheese coming out in a sad attempt to get close to the original.....And from seeing how many times u use the holy, although also offense word "fuck/fucking"...I'd say go get some and talk less about it !!!

I would like to see your face when someone will come with it's own Rmx of "Save Me God" Boxer !!

I'm quite agreed and in the case I were a Musician having fun remixing something and a few weeks later another one (friend or not) come with the same track remixed too, I think I would ask him a few questions...

Your exemple Boxer is furthermore quite good... as I heard it remixed by Paranormal Attack in a party in Paris last week-end... and people were all thinking it was Eskimo's one... confusing lol !!

Parasense did one too if I understood well..
This is way too much... there are BTW so many old electronic anthems that would be nice for remixes.... a little bit more imagination, guys !!

well i don't care what you say but imo

hallucinogen in dub

is a perfect example of what remixes can be. i actually kinda find 5/6 tracks better than the originals. then again that's just me..

shpongle remixed

is another treat in the remix world. it should be rather titled shpongle remade cause it sure sounds like all the tracks were started from empty rack.           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Ehmmmmmmmm Traveller, You're right about those releases, for sure.. but I think it was not the point here...

We're dealing with songs/tracks remixed [g]several times[/g] by different artists...

(..which may be the case in Sphongle's CD, but there it is thanx to a "concept")

Dark Soho - Depth of Emotion (In R Voice remix)

i wouldn't be so cruel talking about remixes in general... sometimes they are even better than the originals, ah?

"why not?" - that's my vision on it           last.fm/user/jyxx/

..it depends...
some tracks remixed several times by different artists... like Gamma Goblins from Posford... Infected made an Killer rmx.. and after two years GMS made another Killer rmx, that´s a classic song.. no problem...

How about voodo ppl, killer track.. but in short time... lot of artist are doing rmx. from the same track... (can you guys think about Gamma Goblins if.. every artist starts doing rmx. from it?)

And about the rmx. from rock n´roll bands, some artist get the MIDI song, CUT the notes, insert at piano roll and start the RMX... for me this is plagiarism, in my humble opinion!

my ranking for the VooDoo PPl remixs

1. Eskimo
2. Paranormal Attack
3. Parasense

Nirvanas Beat Hacker Mix was strictly OK!!!
Money for Nothing is good at a party..but all the tough parts have already been done for it..so well...           ....good fudge comes on slow!!!
