Is it important to you that your companion should also be from the “trance world” or not?
I found it that if he isn’t it bothers me. Cause trance is more than music, it’s a way of life, a way of thinking.
Usually when I go out with people that don’t like it, I find it to be a major obstacle. Our ideas are different – it’s true that extremes are attracted to each other, but on the long term it almost never work.

Does this sound stupid?
I’d like to think I’m not the only one thinking like this.

I don't think that it matters. Of course if my partner will be a trance-addict as well it could be nice, we'll go to parties together and stuff but it's not that critical. Yes - trance is a way of life, but in my opinion having a girl with different opinions that me is also a mind opener. For example my girlfriend listens to pop mainly, so I am forced to listen to it as well It also gives me ideas in my music creation, when you're not ONLY listening to trance.

RaverGirl, NEO, there are 3 of us now. For me it's a prolem too. One of my ex-bfs hated trance too much, you know, like he couldn't stand it! And as we met really often, soon i had no time to listen to music, because he kinda didn't let me... So we started to fight and finally broke up. Not because of trance, but because of everything, different ways of thinking. I love parties, he hates them, i like to dance and to have fun, he's quiet and prefers to sit down. Next one was a little better. I know, he didn't like trance, but at least he didn't tell me about it... He also hated all parties and discos... So this time i decided that i won't go out with a guy who doesn't like trance. This means that i'm gonna be alone for a long time... Cause in my town noone even knows trance. I decided to write about this music to my school newspaper, so maybe someone will try to listen to it, and then will like it too... We'll see. Wish me good luck in finding my new love. lol

My gf doesn't listen to trance at all, and it can be a big problem sometimes. Every weekend she want's to stay with me, watch some movies, have a smoke, play some records - while I want to go out partying. So sometimes she comes with me, sometimes we do what she wants. Anyway, it can be a real problem sometimes, but now that winter has arrived, we'll probably be spending more time cuddled up under a blanket, so it'll be allright           MiniMAL cabron...

Judging by my history all of my ex's did not come from the world of trance and most of them didnt care much for electronic sounds at all.
In time viewing my love to this genre their opinion has changed and evolved.
I am a prson that respects the ideas of the other regardless if it fits my very own plate. And always likes to taste new flavores and smell new scents.

The best lessons I was tought in life came from people that are placed in a world so much different from mine, yet so the same - We are all people, we are all searching for the same basic things.
There is no right or wrong when it comes to love thats what makes it so special.

Remember:
LIFE, IS THE ONLY WAY OF LIFE...
all the rest can be viewed as seasonings in this big crunchy and groovy looking salad.

I Showed my GF this world. She fell for Juno Reactor and the delta. she is more into experimentsl-indie stuff. actually, i fell for more groups than she did... Hmmmm. anyway it's for the best. we went to some parties 2gether and it was fun (and ofcourse she dragged me to a concert ABROAD... (i paid for myself, she's not that rich ). good to have diversity.

it's nice to have gf/bf who listens to psy trance. but on the other hand that narrows and limits the relationship on less things then otherwise there could have been. as some of u said, going out with someone "non psy" gives u an insight to another world and way of living, but it is still living and hounting for the same targets expressed in different ways. so u actually loose nothing.
personally my gf used to like rock a lot (she still does thou) and wasn't relly introduced to our psy culture very much, so i was the one who gave her indirectly an insight in it, but in return she teached me and gave me some experience with the rock culture.
so now we ussually go partying, but it is also often when we can be found in those black rock places or on a concert....
so don't limit your perceptions, see and try to accept what the other offers, and also respond in the same way.
PLUR           Why u little !!!
