well, first it struck me - "why shouldnt he/she like rock/heavy metal/trance". i found myself at a loss. than, slowly but surely i realised somthing: he/she wouldnt be there if it werent for somthing that attracted them in the first place. so yes, many go and care about nothing - music, ppl, venue, bar, chicks, guys. but others go along and they simply mingle so well, you can't belive it. i guess it's all very subjective, buy hey, here are my 2 cents.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

Hey i really think this is important thing !! Why ? Because, on the the first time humm ok it's only this time, it's only 2 days So next time the same thing, the 3 time is the first fight kkkkkk So in the 4 time you bring the girl with you to the party and all night and day she will be in fury because you dont look to him sitting down on the corder !! I really think that if your girl ( boy ) like trance like you !! The history is very diferent !!

Raver, I don't exactly understand what kind of relationships you are speaking, is it about a bf/gf or more like roommate or friend...

Anyway it is nothing wrong about people having different taste in music ... You may find youself in relationships where you are listening to "Nirvana" or even "Incubus" tunes ... I think this is more interesting that way ... and much more knowledgeable.           Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

Well if you live in Denmark it's kinda hard finding a girl who likes trance and is not too fucked up (no disrespect to Denish woman who love trance;)). To be honest most women i see at parties are doped up ... So i never had and proberly never will have, a girlfriend from the Denish rave scene...
Sad but true...
And thats ok, because i love diversity ...           "Love is a way of life"

After i read all these messages already after mine, i changed my mind a little. Maybe i'm too strict? I guess so. Well, i'm not talking about those who HATE trance. You think, you still could date these people? Like when you'll try to listen to it, they say: "Turn off this noise", or something like this... Personally I can't. But I could date someone who just doesn't care, you know, like he listens to his music (whatever it is!), and i listen to mine. But he's not trying to make me listen to his music, and same thing from my side. Then it'll be fine. But parties... I don't know, what to do! Right now, i never go to parties, we don't have them in my town, and i'm too young for them too (i'm 16, and my parents don't let me... ). So... For now, i can be with someone, though i don't want to, and later we'll see.

It is very interesting question... I think you can't answer on it just with Yes/No. It is much more complicated, and also depends on person.
if Trance is just music, it can be really simple. But if it is Way Of Life ?
And parties... Lets take a couple where one of them is real trance addict. So what this gonna be ? One of them goes out for a party(friday) the second stais at home or going to the pub. Next day(saturday) trancer is going to sleep for a whole day, and what is doing his/her partner in that time ?

Such relationship can fail really quick. One day it will come to: "Or Me, or Trance party. You have to Choose !" ... Do you want to make such a choice ?

i go to parties while my partner stays at home. but he doesn't sleep all night so we both sleep on saturday. works good for me for a long time now.

Exactly CyberPunk!
I mean I don’t see myself sitting on a Friday evening in a pub (except maybe the Minzar – but this pub is loaded with trance people). I don’t see myself going to a house party either? Or rap? Or hip hop.
I can go once maybe, twice maybe, but I wouldn’t want to do it after a while.
What music will you listen to at home? House? Don’t like it. Also most house people of this scene are show off people. Hip hop? Don’t like this “yo” culture. Israeli music? Like what? Sarit Hadad? Shlomo Artzi? Hate it!!!
Techno is more like it, but most people there are usually geeks. Same goes for the d&b and jungle.
And as CyberPunk said, if you don’t do things u like together, it’s the safest way to break up a relationship.
Of course in some cases what I said don’t apply (yes yes, I see u Blue Elf and David Kebab jumping).

And yes, trance is a way of life, especially here in Israel. I mean people are more open minded, more tolerant, more accepting the other as he is. Music reflects our way of thinking.

in other words Candy, you are addicted to Trance (in the various ways of it)
Im addicted too, and Im proud....

Personally i feel like an alien in house\rap\hip hop parties, i cant see myself over there....

I prefer a party of any thing else Israel offers on friday nights...

I think you should bring to the party people that are trying to know the scene. They must want to go, even if it's only to "create anti-bodies". I'm not talking about girlfriends or boyfriends, I talk only about friends.
Because girlfriends or boyfriends is too complicated, each relationship depends on lots of things else than psytrance...
And I think it's pretty difficult to bring people that will not use drugs to a party and make they be in front of the sound system for one hour... People are not adapted to this... (already failed in doing it lot's of times)
So, if you want to dance all night long, just travelling through the DJs hands, bring people that can do it too... Otherwise, you will have be with your friends in the chill out (chill out is pretty cool too, but it's a different "travel").
I remember one time, I said: "He's playing GTR!!!", my already tired friend "really? so what?"

Well, My GF doesn't like the trance culture but has no problems with the music or with what I'm playing, so it's trance at home for both of us and parties for me alone.           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.

My girlfriend is as into it as I am, so I'm very lucky... although it certainly isn't essential           I said no to drugs... but they didn't listen
