Techno is the big daddy of psytrance & the dad is German who toured round the world & made babies
We were born naked & grow up to become wicked. |

techtrance is the latest bigger trend hitting the psy-scene. it can be very refreshing especially if you compare it with fullon or progtrance since the track structure is often not so straight forward.
fusion parties are always a good idea and here in finland it would mean going back to the roots. parties in the early to mid 90's were often fusion parties with all kinds of electronic music. i enjoyed these ones much since you could always find a room that fit your mood. hopefully this'll be the future too...

yup and where did psytrance root from?
the thing is back then we called it "houseparties" you didn't know what to expect, it was usually house, techno dance trance and any type of EDM all mashed up onto a pile... just like old goaparties you had all the styles mashed up. actually you weren't really talking about styles it was all goatrance lol
play technotrance from that period and compare it with the first goatracks... i even did that on a party mixing oldschool with technotrance... and lots of the young people (18-24 years) wondered what goa trance it was
had to see their faces when i told it was just pre goa technotrance, however i don't blame them for being wrong: as in truth the difference between the early goatrance and technotrance is really not that big that you notice a difference
no situation is stronger then a heart that dares to love
so may the force of life light and love be with you |

I thought we were talking about dance music... Teckno vs psytrance....not organic induced teckno.....don't forget DEVO,Cabaret Voltaire(70's),Fad Gadget and many more if we're going to stay off topic.
What album or video did the Beatles play a 3 second teckno sample on? hint before 1970
disco was early trance and the sugarhill gang was teckno minus the lyrics(1970's)
teckno is the indigenous electronic form and is older than most of us.....

Hoping this is not too offtopic, i think if you follow the thread, we are relating techno with electronic music.
Giorgio Moroder - i feel love is a dance track, and its not techno, its EDM, just like some Depeche Mode and some New Order.
So saying techno is the generic name for all EDM its not correct, besides even Brian Eno is electronic and not techno at all.
Electronic music is a vast term, and techno is one of its many forms imo
The Beatles track i really don’t know

I think techno used to be the generic name to electronic dance music from mid 80's to mid 90's mainly in mass media, the public of electronic music was already starting to put name on subgenres |

what about Welle Erdball and Kirlian Camera...
those artists made dance music and you can track kirlian camera all the way down till the end of the sixties.... these were the real pioneers of EBM, they even started before kraftwerk (whome made some kind of freaky psychedelic industrial in the beginning of the seventies)
so i think that the relationship started with the coming of the pill-poppers....god i hate that xtc Ain-Soph (Trancebum Productions / Freakdance Records)

wtf?!?!?!?
regarding my closed-mind thinking..music is music..and u got the chance to choose your fav.
but actually i think that there's another aspect to face that is common in all of us..and it's called culture.
in my closed mind experience, and obviously regarding what ive seen in these years, nowadays the young crowd who join techno scene (rave-partys, lifestyle exc) is mooore about destraction...destruction of the body (takin avery fuckin kind of drug they can) destruction of the soul (no respect for anything) and yes, destruction of the earth ( look at any technival around the globe and see how's the place after that).
now..don't take me wrong..i really find techno as an underground movement quiet actractive, i mean: ok..this is the world where they want us to live in..fuck it! i take my place!
ok..but tooo simple..and i do refuse it!
i don't mean that techno scene is hell and psytrance heaven..we have two faces in every coin..good in evil and evil in good..but i do love psytrance!
i'm not that good in english..hope it's all clear
friendly.
bolenath!
