So this topic is all about testing different vst's for the typical KBBB psy bass combo and hopefully give some people a inside what the different vst's sounds like

There is one rule, no processing on the bass

So give it a shot guys

I'll start out with the most common two and will post a lot more...

First one is Lennar Digital Sylenth1

Second is NI Massive

So we are in G. What BPM did you use? And maybe you can provide the kick? Like that every test will be as equal as possible.

I didn't put a side chain on on my examples, just raw kick and bass with some velocity adjustment

Dune and cronox are winning for me so far
Esm sounds broken

we should turn this into a competition of who make the best sounding one with NO 0 ZILCH processing...

downloaded the kick

had a long day, kind of tired now... will post some examples tomorrow. some nice sounding ones already...

think we can probably get a lot of different sounding raw (unprocessed) basses out of the same machines, specially if done by different people.

it's also cool to notice different machines and interfaces makes one produce very distinct sounds. how much of that is due to how it sounds by itself (or the instrument's character or soul if you will), and how much of that is due to what it inspires a person to do? think it's a mix of both.

Yeah the esm need some processing, the filter is a bit to open, makes it sound raw and muddy
