so serial.... yeh i believe will be more beneficial for knowledge, rather than just showing that we can move a filter, saw is a saw, as long as things get learnt and gained from it, be handy to see how well things translate on other peoples systems, without overdoing it, which is what i can end up doing rather than the enjoyment of creating..

i wish things werent so easily acessable ,would..force creativity more ...

Samples allowed?

AKWF_saw_0014 from Adventure Kid Waveforms. With Renoise moog filter. 1 volume and 1 filter envelope, some velocity to filter.

did more test , think and not a surprise sample of analog synth will give good result that need less processing to sound great , like trilian ,omni ect... but diva with some eq will give very good result too , and spire not bad at all, good control on the osc waveforms and snappy envelop, i think it was not tested in the thread

keep the phase in one place...find the start of the attack and keep it there.... 11.00oclock on sylenth with it inverted also, seems to work for me.. dont automated it which is what u did on the last one... keep the phase still other wise you mayaswell set the oscillators to run and that not good for stable bass... just my thoughts tho so dont take literally.

well i say 11.00 phase invert because it suits the filter setting i use... so it will vary.... phase is just about finding where the first attack sits to get a better 'pluck'
dont just use it unknowingly otherwise u could up losing the attack altogether there4 resulting in a muffled unstable bass

lots of overlaping happening also... mayb raw but cant get good impression when the two are fighting

hope this comes across as constructive and not troll shit as its what i usually get called.... hope that helps just what my ears r saying

had a long day, kind of tired now... will post some examples tomorrow. some nice sounding ones already...

think we can probably get a lot of different sounding raw (unprocessed) basses out of the same machines, specially if done by different people.

it's also cool to notice different machines and interfaces makes one produce very distinct sounds. how much of that is due to how it sounds by itself (or the instrument's character or soul if you will), and how much of that is due to what it inspires a person to do? think it's a mix of both.
