Sylenth is always good. The Virus TI sounds tight but quiet. I like its character but not its power; hopefully just a level issue that would be fixed with comp.

Cronox is growing on me. Sounds a bit loose?

The envelope on Dune is tight as fuck! Not in a bad way...

Sonic Academy ANA is a major surprise - never heard of it and the bass sounds tight, punchy, even while keeping the mid-range power. Righteous for a cheap lil' synth!

Still would stick with good ol' Sylenth here. Fucking Logic X with no 32-bit. Fuck.

normalizing the bounce could have been usefull i think, so we can hear at similar amplitude , as some synth will probably eat headroom more than some others..problem it had mroe variable to the equation like release time , note lenght velocity ect.. so not sure it s good thing, might overcomplicate things

i did this one with massive on my beyer it seems to sound fine ?no monitors.. if nothing really wrong i ll try on other synths..tell me if it s decent
it s simple patch zero trickery ,saw and one filter

Did you use a different kick? Or did you process/clip the output? It sounds different than Diagnosed Hippie's kick.

I will post some of my own tests. Still trying a few more synths...

UnderTow, it's different kick.
I will try to tweak a little more. also some version has no banlance volume and kickbass are overlaping. because of it, its more Difficult to compare the synths. Today at the end of the day I will reedit

on the Virus try to reduce the punch intensity, sounds like there's a lot of it. that's the volume of the initial click, by reducing it, the meatier part of the sound will become more apparent. it's easy to overlook this setting, it's on the main edit menu on the Virus C, somewhere similar on Virus ti, presumably (I own the C). making the filter envelope add some filter saturation is easy, you only need to choose the osc vol destination on the matrix with a positive amount, then if osc volume lies in 12'o clock mode, it goes from no saturation to some (depends on amount). then you can even use the EQ for shaping things a bit further, and perhaps even make the middle frequency follow the notes played...

WE Are allowed to sample it and fade out the tails no, instead of sidechain , that kick's tail needs a fade if we are rolling basslines

now guna do a Vember surge test

U can fade out all that u want, and nobody said that u can't put a side chain on, just said that i didn't.. this thread is about the source, env, filters etc. fuck if the notes are overlapping the kick don't matter if you ask me

lol ok .. wel just that u get abit of a better groove and understandin of the filters when the kick isnt smothering it..... sorry lol calm down..

i got my "we are" mixed up.. i ment "are we allouded" soz soundin like i was demanding that we are...oops

Ace vst, again no eq or comps...
ive found this one to be better and gliding the notes... was tricky to use the filters set up i could stil improve... as abit glitchy in places.. i love the mapping generator in the tweak settings!

different filter set up... phase left alone
