what? That DJs dont dance..? yes its is a common thing... but IMO its more the ego than anything... djs think that if they dance to someone elses music.. then etc. etc. etc...

i dj for the music of course i dance on stage and all over the party!!! jajaja im a dance maniac!!  i have seen a lot of artist dancing like crazy , for example last weekend i play in a party with gataka and bog , matan danced all night !!! that was pretty cool  and who give a damn if u dance someone else songs when u are djing it's not a matter of ego it's just a matter of loving psy-trance |

I have seen many artists dancing, they often do.
DJs I see mostly dancing on stage during their own set and they often stop and stand around critizising or just being cool, when somebody else is playing.
Don't want to offend anybody, but that's my experience.

Seems like everyone in the forum is a dj anyways. So many people seem to have access to all the latest unreleased killers which I'm sure they get straight off the label or the artist 
Now if I was a dj I would dance while doing my shit, let's face it it's not that much work..
On the other hand if I was an artist performing live my live would sure as hell be a proper one and I wouldn't simply have the time to dance, well maybe if you count nodding head as dancing..

ooops was this thread about dancing while playing or dancing while someone else is playing? well if it was the 2nd one then you
a) aren't too confident if you don't dance
b) don't really like the music and just are a wanna be dj
c) the music the dj is spinning is awful and you retreat
..

I tend not to dance but that has more to do with the quality of music at parties and me not being blitted out of my fucking mind. Being picky AND sober has led me to be bored time and again... though I sure got my dance on when Phony Orphants came to town!
