somewhat agree...
you tend to confuse the phenomena of the substance with the sound lighting and social effects...
on the other hand its a fairly safe set and setting with friendly vibes...
but i recommend a camping trip in nature instead for first time. with some friends.
maybe bring a didgeridoo or drum and just check out sound in general 
nothing better:) |

there is no initiation...you find it you go if you like you stay if you don't you leave...psychedelic is not a cult, true psychedelic is enjoying the emptiness and sharing that emptiness, void with others...its not about space and distance, its about the randomness and chaos, and the shapes that evolve out of it, there are no fixations and there are no positions, there is doubt, there is skepticism, there is argument, there is dialogs, there is connection...when you connect you get initiated..how you connect is not important

Why don't you try to find the beautiful things , the nice things, the noble things that hide inside everyone?
I have lived the most amazing times of my life at a psychedelic party and it is sure that they were not created by randomness .They were very certain.And very human. These are invisible things (like love) that need to be revealed and unlocked in everyone...
to reach a higher level...
to let the energy flow...
to let the magic start...
TO GO BOOOOOOOOM!
It is very important how you connect.
Be carefoul about the dark side...
Go with the light!

I think its important to remember....when using psychedelics....you open yourself up to many things that you may not be ready to experience and that is when shit can get ugly.......
Thats why in other forms of initiation such as kriya yoga and hermiticism they begin with training you to control your thoughts, emotions....and understanding the way the unconscious mind works...and then gradually at a level where you are always the one in control you are allowed slowly to penetrate deeper and deeper into the mysteries of the universe....the fundamental thing is to always be in control of an experience....not let it overwhelm you....which is what mostly happens when using psychedelics and thats why these other systems discourage its use.....
Where these sytems seek to have an understanding of a process first....us psychonauts just hurl ourselves head first into chaos and unpredectability....which can someitmes do wonders but remember it can go bad when u least expect....
I use psychedelics and from my experience when ones mind begins to fly higher than one is comfortable with, it is good idea to talk to someone...preferably a good friend...but if thats not available anyone...you just need to make a connection with someone.... you dont have to know them.....i reckon this helps to keep you grounded and release some of the energy thats building inside....

what is all this initiation rubbish , this not a secret cult  .. the trouble is people taking things too seriously.. oh aliens , shiva , other dimentions , initiation .. blah.. is just a trip .. you`l be fine as long as u can hold onto that , should it get intense/overbearing .. just a trip .. be cool : )

but it can also be a whole lot more....
It all depends on how your level of understanding yourself and how far you want to take it....
On another note i read an interesting thing recently which said the void is not empty with nothing...but full with possibilities

yes, its depends on ownself, it brings out the actual you from within.
So if someone is generally nice, a believer & posseses love for nature & music, would be fine with all that so called 'initiation'.

Completely disagree with no music and using psychedelics... I say music takes you somewere beautiful especially if combined with psychedelics, this is the point of our generation, a combination of music nature and profound conciousness. It's not just a party and i take a trip to dance and enjoy like taking any other drug, for me a party is a place were i am connected to the people, the nature, and mostly love for the music. I am not there to try and get girls or just to get drugged out of my head and enjoy, i am there to enter the world of Psychedelic dreams, the world of Psychedelic Trance! For me this is the point, that we reach togetherness through loving music and nature, a togtherness that nobody can resist!

Well I completely disagree with you there...and i speak from my own experience...
On very intense trips music can overwhelm you....on my most intense trip which was at a friends house my emotions were completely dictated by the music and amplified....
lucky i had a choice of what was playing...playing happy tunes i was happy...with dark tunes my thoughts became dark....{michael jacksons thriller video ZOMG is some evil shit!!!!)
i can tell you if we chucked on ghreg on earth or derango or something....it would have been dangerous.....
Had I been at a party with some intense dark music at night....no cntrol of what was playing surrounded by mental people...man i dont even wanna think about it....
And hey i love that kinda music....even on psychedelics....but i can tell you now after a few intense trips that if i know the artist is some crazy guy that likes to mess with the mind...ill take it easy...maybe take just a little bit (and hope its not some potent shit[althought i secretly want it to be ehehehe])!!!

Well that has never happened to me before...it was a special night and one of my best trips...filled with both positive and negative....I can also tell you that there was something else at work as well....but lets not get into that....
But true i tend to get carried away quite easily....ive thought that artists were higher dimensional beings sent to take the partygoers to the next dimension more than once....
But hey you never know.....

which means, i think, that you agree-
humans need friends and warm safety to comfort them when they are having a bad trip...
this is about how to create that web of love
not to strangle or suffocate people, but to provide a safety net to return to if things get too hairy...
thats what initiation is all about...
i keep getting these paranoid trips where i think im being hunted and about to get shot and i start climbing over fences and houses, and running from people, and hiding in the forest, etc... its helpful when i friend i trust just smiles and stops me to have a smoke or chat with him/her...
and nothing worse than the old "must leave eh body to get to the next dimension" trip...
talk about a death wish...
i would say that leaders at the decks had better care more about the people they are playing music for than simply wanting to mess with minds...
most of the dark trance i find pretty innocent on high dose trips... (minus the bad sample evil evil stuff) but i find excessively wanky or noodly music with cheap melodies to be very very dark...
thats why i dont trip as hard as i used to...
maybe more later...after some years... |

I agree with Ocelot's point about nightpsy being innocent on high doses as compared to cheesy cheap melodies that can also prove to be a very big mind wreck. Its all about how each of us as individuals look at music. The nightpsy experience on a high dose on my first ever psychedelic initiation was where i found beauty like i had never seen. It started at point A and left me hanging at Z! Some people here will even tell you about the look in my eyes & smile on my face hehehe 
Psychedelic initiations are always better small, with a group of trustable, moderately experienced cosmonauts who will look out for you should anything go flipside. Great sound, great music, great energy, great people/vibes, nature and some shooting stars in the sky as a bonus comprise the rest of the basket. Oooh yea! And yes, i must also add make sure there are no people who talk when the music is playing
I feel almost confident in saying those who believe psychedelic initiations are exaggerated or 'just talk' have never actually experienced one in the right place, right time, right doze and under the guidance of a talented soul surgeon behind the decks  It hits some of us earlier and takes others by storm later  Watch out if Derango or Psykovsky come your way sometime hehehe, maybe this post will ring a bell then..
