If you buy an original cd and offer it to someone as a gift then thats 100% legal
If you offer him though a copied cd as a gift then thats 100% illegal and 200% lame

that's why I started with this alternative thinking.

it's just and idea...
it would require a great deal of work, but you know... being a musician I would really mind to get paid only from the live gigs. Still that's the best part of this whole circus |

well, then I think that labels should get interested in promoting their artists instead of putting so much stress on producing records. If they are able to get them proper job (meaning performances), then the artist would be happy (more money) and the label as well - I'm sure that this kind of deal would work on the same basis as with a booking agency (only booking own artists).
Sure it's more work - they would have to establish and manage solid connections with party organizers in various places of the world.
What difference does it make for labels...
Get their artist more gigs and a cut from that, or sell more of the artist's records and get a cut from that?
I guess that the only difference is that with the latter it's less work... |

Yeah for what i know man there are some people here that want to bring yotopia !!! that will be swett, and yeah trance is not gms and astrix.For example is hope some day i can see Aba structure, but someday hehehe people need to open their ears to all the trance horizont there are people out there making some awesome music and feeling lost cause a lot of people only listen to what the big artist's has to offer , like one day yuli said that he wont do the music he do anymore cause of the full on wave that was sad man...full on is cool i like a lot but i dont to keep hearing the same basslines all over again we need evolution and there are nice people out there doing it .

Could not agree more. Sadly it's not only the promoters that need to change but also the people that goes to these large Festivals. If there's not the top "20" on the line-up they stay away.
We desperately need an attitude change in the scene. Actually i would not mind if things went back to how it used to be like.. That it's quality over quantity and that it does not matter who's playing as long as it's good and makes people fly.
The idiolising has gone way too far. Artists used to be music without faces. Today it's "stars" writing authographs.
The scene is rotten. |
