I think when people make huge signs promoting the sale of the drugs, they are taking it one step too far. This happened in every ozora since years (u dont see this @ BOOM) and indeed its a wonder how this is the first raid. Nevertheless, being there while the whole thing happend, it was not such a catastrophy, at least not in the main area of the festie. The cops were surrounding the valley from the hills and a few came around the dj booth, but they did not go on stage, and didnt enter the dancefloor. I didnt see any violence, i heard there were not that many arrests which means they were taking dealers or people with too much shit on them only. This could have been MUCH worse, and i heard from Yuli/Perfect stranger that the day after was great and buisness as usual. I dont know what will happen next year, as indeed this is a national topic now, but this year Ozora was stronger than ever and the vibe on the dancefloor when the police were around was something to behold. They arrived not long before my set, and i opened my live set with a Bill hicks monologue, couldn't been more perfect

Just used Google translate to find out what actually went on. A Hungarian TV channel reporter with a hidden camera took footage of open drug selling, the video is on this link. Then reported it to police who obviously were bound to intervene. Sounds like the police chief for the region has been suspended, so that's the cosy relationship with the local police blown for good. Apparently there's a chance the festival will be cancelled, I presume from next year? I love the fact that the drug dogs had to be replaced as they were finding so much stuff, their poor noses must have been saturated (i bet it was a great day for ozora police dogs though!)

This is an action was preceded by several months of operational intelligence. The action against the person, a total of 304 measures, 41 production was due to reasonable suspicion that a crime "- Garamvölgyi Laszlo said.

Telling the withdrawal

Sárbogárd police captain of the National Police immediately suspended, and it is also investigating whether the site could provide uniforms to the drugs. Central Europe on the Internet anyway safest drogpartijaként announced by the organizers of the festival, which will take place in 13 years.

"In such matters, then something happens, if it becomes aware of the National Police Headquarters.Entirely legitimate, if the local police organizations become aware of such an offense, you should have to act. Talkative, is not it, in today's withdrawal is "- said Laszlo Garamvölgyi.

The seized drugs are still under investigation. So far, 2.5 kilograms of marijuana, mescaline 25 package, 40 ecstasy pills, 50 grams of cannabis resin, five grams of cocaine have been identified, but the number is not yet final. The six-site drug detection dogs have been deployed, but the animals had to be replaced every 10 minutes, because such a large amount of agent is not met.

Organisers and party goers get greedy, arrogant and complacent. There are some of us who are more reserved and subtle, unfortunately a handful of idiots spoil it for us.

It's funny, you guys over in Europe have all the people to throw on an event like Ozora and no place to do it. We over here on the west coast have all the space and nature to make an event like this happen without much disturbance, we just don't have that big a scene....           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

oh, it would be a very interesting experiment to see if all those people would stay loyal to the "scene" if they are suddenly not allowed to live their hedonistic dream of free drug consumption at a place where presumably nobody cares. in the mealwhile there is no such place that does not care for a lifestyle of healthy (!) and sustainable living. the idealistic view of free drug usage for the sake of humanity might become a problem anywhere they go.

so there are always two sides of the coin - it is a big scene but what is the cost for making it big at the end? it is big only on the surface. and it would be very very small if you only count those who are loyal to it because of its music, arts and philosophy.

but dont worry, "find new pastures"

allow me to pull the BS card here moki... i dont know what scene you come from and what the parties you go to and the people that attend those events are like, i will not be a hypocrite and say that where i come from and the people i party with do not consume drugs, but we do it with sensibility - just like anything should be done imo.

drugs ARE a part of this culture (and actually, ALL human cultures), its just the extent to which they are used (and sadly at times, abused) which would determine the type of party/people attending. I think that the sensible use of certain drugs greatly contributes to one's experience and perception of many things, i know it has on me and many of my friends. of course there are stories of extreme or even mild abuse - those people are not in my friends circle and i dont go to such events, simple as that.

projecting that on the whole trance/psychedelic scene? big pile of BS, and i've been around long enough and in plenty of events big and small to be saying that - and just to pull my latest example, coming back from this years boom which was absolutely amazing, and you know what did it for me the most? the people, thats right - not the music, not the venue, not the deco, not the drugs - but people and the energies and vibes they have been spreading, plain and simple.

you are right nectarios, last year's ozora in that sense was as previously mentioned way too much in your face, i dont think i remember any festival or event that it was close to being that way - it was just a matter of time... i dont get why people have to go around showing off their "goods" - people find what they want without any signs...

and rosengren - from my experience that rule applies to basically anyone you see in a festival

@Nectarios, in the old days everybody was so out of it that no one really cared about antics, that and Mapusa jail and even Fort Aguada were very very bad place to be in. I was never there but I visited someone once in Mapusa jail and also heard stories about Aguada...          Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

Police in Hungary is 100% corrupted ...
with the right amount of money/bakshish payed to this public service , you can get anything you want ,
the organiser might have forget to pay somebody on a higher level ,
that why cops came in and busted people , instead of protecting the dealers as happen in 2011 ....
