"***NEWS FLASH FROM OZORA*** - Lots of people have been asking about rumors about police and such. So... around 14:00 a few hundreds of cops indeed raided the festival. Not a pretty sight to see all these uniforms in such a place of complete freedom, but the orginisers were quick enough to give a heads up in the mic and warn everyone. I assume there were some arrests around the festival, but THE MUSIC DIDN'T STOP and is still going on. In fact EVERYONE escaped to the dancefloor and danced the shit out of themselves, and the atmosphere on the floor was UNBELEIVABLE, truly amazing. And... because of this situation, after my live set, Liquid Ace got to play double the time and a massive 3 hour set. it was off the fuckin' hook ! So the party is going on in full power...and paradise is still here."

Realy sad news, also a sad thing to look at:
I never went to Ozora but I met some people in my country at party's, and they told me ozora has gone worse over the years. I was thinking on going there one day but I don't think I will anymore.

I dont wanna sound like a smart-ass, but I had a gut feeling something like this was gonna happen this year.
I went to every Ozora year since the relaunch, and it always seemed kinda like a local thing, and im sure they made sure that the local police didnt get too nosy and had something to gain from the festival, if you know what I mean. I thought it was always very telling that in 6 years of Ozora, I never saw one single policeman, not at the entrance, not in the party, not on the roads leading to the festival. I always had the theory that a large part of what made Ozora so special was the complete absence of police and the fact that once you were inside the gates, aanything goes without any worries. And that made for a very carefree party with the great vibes we all have come to love.
Last year, however, it definitely got too big to be a local thing, it turned into a massive international event. And as such higher authorities take notice, and they are not as easy to appease as the local police. Plus, from what I hear the political climate in Hungary has shifted considerably to the populist right, so what fits that agenda better than to a rest a bunch peace-loving, drug-taking, dirty unwashed hippies  Anyways, that was one of the main reasons I decided not to go this year, just a bad gut feeling about the whole thing.
But from what I read the party goes on, so I wish everyone a great time. Im just happy im not there, i couldnt have fun after an event like that...

That photo is not from the festival Boulevard, was an older one from the Occupy Movement.
Political climate unfortunately is the biggest factor in things like this happening. Happened at Samothraki, happens in India all the time.

I agree in India it happens all the time. We people are always in free if we should ever to go to a party in India. The fuckup is if you wanna take a person to experience a good party who doesnt do anything and we are just there for the music you never know what may happen. Its a sad affair in India when it comes to parties.
