Dancing with Kadafi would be a good choice. Not many people can deal with 150 bpm in their face for the first time. I would also go for Muses Rapt - Spiritual Healing. There's just something about that track that hits you in the gut.

I would play something with classic psychedelic synths like lsd or fluoro neuro spongle or electronic on the Astral Files album. Only this is real psytrance for me, why nobody today produces this style

When I introduce psytrance to freinds who have never heard it before, I usually put on some Hallucinogen tracks or Koxbox tracks.
"Crunchy Moles" from The Great Unknown album have the best reception from most people. I think because this track is easy to listen to, at 134 bpm, bouncy groovy track, not dark, yet still psychedelic.
Cosma's tracks too!~ anything from Non-Stop album.
Then again it depends on people for sure. If my freind is into gabba or something like that, i'd choose psycotic micro or something faster.

Well, I think this is purely situational...for instance, last night when I was travelling home from NYC, I met this guy who was a jazz pianist going to school for music. We started chatting and I told him the kind of music I was into. He replied with the usual, "oh, i could only listen to that in clubs or if I was under the influence of something". So, I played him Benza's 'Cardboard Squares' and '10 Yards' and told him that Benza was a jazz pianist as well. He was totally into it So you should think about what music your friend listens to now, and try to make some sort of connection between that and psytrance...           ~gOa ist nicht nur musik sondern auch eine lebenseinstellung~

It's funny you mention those two specific Benza tracks. I did a mix of both those tracks a few months back (just for a laugh) and it rocks big time! Not so much because it was a good mix - but because the original tracks are so damn good!

it's impossible to represent trance with only 1 track
maybe 20 tracks would do.           u can find "Anything U Want" using the search...
