i dont listen to trance in any other place than parties...play classical, latino, pop at home...but at parties dance like mad, and truly enjoy each element...have a philosophy that i want to be 'fresh', as a dancer, to each sound...to be totally responsive...am i selfish? or a fake trancer?

I think you are fake trancer ;p Heheh...joke of course.

+1 to that, OSC!

But then, I was sober when I got into this stuff to begin with...

If you constanly have to have drugs at parties, then you associate the music with drugs. I see this kind of thing mostly in the rave scene around here. Kids don't care what the music is so long as they're fucked up... Then you ask them who their favorite artist or dj is and they say "that one guy who played that techno"...

Personally, I enjoy it sober or otherwise. Being un-sober just adds a different perspective. IMO. Not bad or good, just different. Half the reason I love it, is all the different ways you can hear it. So if you hear it the same way each time of course you get bored.           .
